¿Cómo planea aplicar los conocimentos adquiridos en éste taller para diseñar y/o implementar mecanismos de
REDD+, de acuerdo con la realidad de su fondo y de su país? Por favor describa los pasos que piensa seguir, a
mediano plazo.
How do you intend to apply the knowledge acquired in this workshop to design and/or implement REDD+
mechanisms, according to the reality of your fund and your country? Please describe the steps you are willing to
take in the medium term.
The workshop was very timely for us for 3 main reason
1) Madagascar ‘s RPP has just been adopted so we as entering the 3 year project to develop the
National REDD+ Strategy
2) Our fund received a grant from MacArthur Foundation to develop a fundraising plan, including
fundraising through REDD+
3) Our board is in the process of writing its strategic plan for the next five years and we believe REDD+
will be a factor in the next five years.
We plan to remain on the technical committee for REDD+ in developing the national REDD+ strategy.
As we are better informed, we feel better equipped to optimize on REDD+ opportunities.
Concretly, we will write a mission report for the workshop.
- Debrief of the board and staff on what we learnt
- Include REDD+ components in our strategic and fundraising plans
- Encourage continued participation in national strategy
- Explore opportunities like mining projects
