High School Showcases: 8th graders and parents should check out the various high
school programs and academies offered throughout the district. The next one will be
this Thursday, Nov. 10th at the YL Community Center. It will showcase YLHS and VHS
programs. ​Click here for information.
Monday 11/07
Tuffree Principal Traveling to China! Our Principal, Cindy Freeman, will be traveling
with a U.S. Delegation of school administrators to visit schools in China. The purpose
of the trip to gain mutual understanding of our two cultures and to exchange ideas with
Chinese principals.
She hopes to share these experiences with 7th graders during
their unit in social studies on China in January. She will be gone from Nov. 9-18. Jeff
Maes will be acting as interim principal during that time.
Falcon Films: ​Our Falcon Films classroom is undergoing construction to build a
professional TV studio. Thanks to PTA and other resources, Tuffree is purchasing state
of the art studio equipment such as cameras, teleprompters, sound board, lighting,
etc. This class is broadcasting "Daily Announcements" on Tuesdays and Thursdays each
week. These are posted on our website at ​www.tuffree.org. This class also has

District Band Pageant – The 41st annual Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District
Band Pageant took place at Bradford Stadium last Wednesday evening on November
2nd. Our students looked amazing while representing Tuffree Middle School. Thank
you to all the parents that helped with chaperoning and a huge thank you to Mr. Hahn
for making this happen. ​See them in action on FB!

PTA Nominating Committee​: We all want Tuffree to be the very best it can be. The
way we as parents can help best is by joining the PTA and being involved in the life of
our school. The following people have agreed to be a part of the Tuffree PTA’s
Nominating Committee: Keri Brunelle, Celeste Staggs, and Shawnna Morris-McAuliffe.
Jill Bruce and Suzanne Hofstetter will be alternates. They will be tasked with finding
people who are willing to take on a PTA Board position (President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Auditor) for the 2017-2018 school year. If you
know any of these ladies and are interested in being considered for a board position,
please let them know.

lo largo de nuestro distrito. La próxima presentación, será este jueves, 10 de
noviembre en el Centro Comunitario YL. Esta mostrará los programas de YLHS y VHS.

La Directora de Tuffree ¡Viajará a China! ​Nuestra Directora, Cindy Freeman, estará
viajando con una Delegación de administradores escolares de Estados Unidos a China. El
propósito del viaje, es obtener entendimiento mutuo de las dos culturas e intercambiar
ideas con los Directores de China. Ella espera compartir estas experiencias con los
estudiantes de 7​mo grado durante su unidad en estudios sociales sobre China, en enero.
Ella estará ausente del 9-18 de noviembre. El Sr. Jeff Maes, estará actuando como
Director Interino durante ese tiempo.

Asamblea Espíritu en la tarde
Falcon Films: ​Nuestro salón de clases de Falcon Films, está bajo construcción para
crear un estudio de televisión profesional. Gracias al PTA y otros recursos, Tuffree está
comprando equipo de estudio de última generación como cámaras, teleprompters,
circuitos de sonido, iluminación, etc. Esta clase está emitiendo “Notificaciones
Actuales” los martes y jueves de cada semana. Estos son colocados en nuestra página
electrónica en ​www.tuffree.org. Esta clase, también ha producido dos transmisiones de
video en toda la escuela, hasta ahora.

Desfile de la Banda del Distrito – ​El 41​ro Desfile anual de la Banda del Distrito Escolar
Unificado Placentia Yorba, tomó lugar en el Estadio Bradford, la tarde del pasado
miércoles, 2 de noviembre. Nuestros estudiantes lucieron maravillosamente mientras
representaban a la Escuela Secundaria Tuffree. Gracias a todos los padres de familia
que ayudaron en la supervisión, y un enorme gracias al Sr. Hahn, por hacer esto
