PLAN FOR PREVENTING THE RISK OF AN 'EBOLA' VIRUS OUTBREAK IN THIS COUNTRY, WHICH IS PRESENTLY
BEING UNDER MODIFICATIONS TO EXCLUDE NIGERIA FROM THE LIST OF AFFECTED COUNTRIES. THIS PLAN CALLS
FOR RECEIVING INFORMATION + DOCUMENTATION FROM VESSELS PROCEEDING FROM WEST AFRICAN 'EBOLA' INFECTED
AREAS (IE: GUINEA, SIERRA LEONE AND LIBERIA) AT LEAST 72 HRS PRIOR TO EACH VESSEL'S
ARRIVAL AT ARGENTINE WATERS.
THE DOCUMENTATION TO BE SENT BY THE VESSELS ARE THE SANITARY CERTIFICATE AND ALL INFORMATION
AS PER THE INTERNATIONAL SANITARY RULES, WHICH WILL BE REMOTELY ANALYZED BY A SANITARY INSPECTOR,
TO VERIFY IF THERE ARE ANY RISKS FOR THE PILOTS TO BOARD THE VESSEL OR IF THE SANITARY INSPECTOR
MUST DO SO, TOGETHER WITH THE COASTGUARD (BEFORE THE PILOTS), IN ORDER TO EVALUATE THE 'EXACT'
SITUATION ONBOARD.

ARGENTINE CUSTOMS HOUSE PERFORM DRAFT SURVEYS FOR EACH EXPORT LDNG
PERMIT ON ALMOST ALL VSLS, WHICH IS SOMETIMES CAUSING DELAYS TO
LOADING OPERATIONS. TIME BEING, THE OFFICIAL EXPORTED FIGURES ARE
BEING DETERMINED AS FOLLOWS:
QTTY OF CARGO LOADED IS DETERMINED BY SHORE SCALE, BEING DRAFT SURVEY
PERFORMED BY CUSTOMS HOUSE. THEN, WHEN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DRAFT
SURVEY AND SHORE SCALE FIGURES IS LESS THAN 0.6 PERCENT, SHIPPERS HAVE
THE OPTION TO ISSUE MATE RECEIPTS ACCORDING TO DRAFT SURVEY OR SHORE
SCALE FIGURES. HOWEVER, WHEN THE DIFFERENCE IS MORE THAN 0.6 PERCENT,
THEN QUANTITY OF CARGO LOADED HAS TO BE SHOWN AS PER DRAFT SURVEY FIGURES.
IN ALL CASES FINAL DECISION IS ANYWAY TAKEN BY CUSTOMS HOUSE, BEING MOST
