We distribute the baskets on Sunday, November 22nd. We are concentrating on giving foods for the Thanksgiving meal; we will not be adding any extras this year. The foods we will collect are pie crust and cake mix and frosting, roll or biscuit mix, stuffing, gravy, canned green beans, corn, peas, sweet, potatoes, cranberry sauce, fresh produce such as carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, apples and oranges. We will not collect the usual foods for the pantry during November. As our inventory continues to be low, please help us with the following if you can: spaghetti sauce, cereal, tuna and mac and cheese. Thank you for your support. Other/Parish News FOR HEALING AFTER ABORTION, a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat will be held Dec. 11-13 at Shalom House Retreat Center, for women and men who have known regret, sorrow, guilt or shame from abortion. The weekend combines living scripture meditations, spiritual exercises, and discussions in a guided process that leads to the heart of God’s love and compassion. To learn more about this retreat, Rosary Rally St. Joseph, St. Edward, St. Benedict, Holy Rosary and others joined together with OLL to make this year’s Rosary Rally spiritually fulfilling. This rally was again recited by both the English-speaking and Spanishspeaking (led by Alejandra Perez Rubio) communities of Our Lady of Lourdes parish. New this year, we also recited a decade of rosary in Tagalog (led by Rosario Igharas), Korean (led by Mrs. Uni Kemp, St. Edward) and Vietnamese (led by An Mai).
