Second Graders Prepare for the
Sacrament of Reconciliation
During the course of the school year, our second graders do much to
prepare for two upcoming Sacraments: Reconciliation and First Holy
Communion. As their Reconciliation is quickly approaching in
March, much has been done to focus on this special Sacrament during which God’s forgiveness and mercy is shared and celebrated. Recently, the students created their own rosaries with the help of their
teachers and parent volunteers. The children have learned that praying a rosary is very special and can help them grow in their faith as
they prepare for the upcoming sacraments.
Court of Dreams
Last week, the OLL’s Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams
faced off vs. the Immaculate Conception Celtics in an
exhibition game during “Court of Dreams”. Court of Dreams is
an annual event during which the school’s teams play on the
home court of the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena.
Each school’s cheerleading and dance teams have an
opportunity to perform. Furthermore, many students, parents,
and teachers attend the game in order to show their support for
the participating students. This year, both our Girls and Boys
Basketball Teams defeated the Celtics! All of the students,
whether they are participants or spectators, always enjoy this
event. It is a wonderful community event and an unforgettable
opportunity for the athletes, cheerleaders, and dancers to live
out a dream by showcasing their talents on a professional court.

If you attend mass here at OLL, you are encouraged to register with us. Please stop by the
Parish Office to fill out a simple registration form or register on our webpage www.ollnet.com.
We urge you to get involved with our ministries and, as a stewardship
parish, ask that you use your Offertory envelopes. If you are not both a registered and active
member of our parish, Baptisms, Marriages, Sponsor certificates and other documents
needed from the Church will take longer to obtain and, in some cases, not possible.
You must be attending Mass regularly and be an active member of the parish.
