SECOND COLLECTION
This weekend, the Second Collection will be our Maintenance & Repair Collection to help with the r epair and
restoration of the parish. Thank you for your generosity.
DIOCESAN HELP DUE TO FLOODS
Next weekend, June 20-21, the Second Collection will be
taken to assist people who have being affected by the many
floods in the United States and have lost so much. (We ask all
parishioners who receive the envelopes by mail, please use the
envelope for “Maintenance & Repair” for this cause). Our
prayers and donations will provide comfort and ease their suffering as they work to recover and rebuild their lives and property. Thank you for your generosity.
SUMMER CHURCH SCHEDULE
Beginning Monday June 22, 2015 the Summer Weekday
Mass Schedule will be the same:
7:00am Spanish
9:00am English
However, the Church will close at 12:00noon. The Rectory
Office will close at 7:00pm during the Summer Time. There
will be No Exposition dur ing the Summer . This schedule
will remain in effect through Labor Day. We will resume on
Tuesday, September 8th.

FROM FATHER CARLOS’ DESK
The arrival of summer enables us to pause along the way and feel
more closely the presence of God through our contacts with nature,
vacation experience and the bustle of children and youth. This season passes quickly, but it can be a productive time both pastorally
and familiarly. We are in the process of concluding a very productive year of catechesis and faith formation. Last Saturday, Auxiliary Bishop Cisneros confirmed 200 of our young people. This Saturday and next, we will celebrate the First Communion of 343
children. We thank God for all these young people and children
who are now able to participate more fully in the sacramental life
of our community. We congratulate their families and catechists
who have collaborate so generously in their preparation. Obviously
this great work doesn’t happen automatically, there is much planning, coordination and devotion that enables such positive results.
We are grateful to Mother Maria Amador, Coordinator of Religious Education, and Sister Heidi Delgadillo, responsible for
Youth Ministry and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults),
who have shouldered this essential ministry of our Parish. Summer
also allows us to receive once again priests, who have served our
community for short periods in the past. We are happy to offer
them hospitality and love while they help us with Masses and other
priestly duties. Father James Rodriguez has already been helping
us with Sunday Masses and will be with us regularly after June 30.
Father Enel Almeus will continue to assist us. Beginning this
weekend, Father Robinson Sierra, who served as parochial vicar
here several years ago, will be with us. Father Jorge Patricio Montoya will arrive in July and Father Ignacio Francisco Cabrera will
join us in August. I ask you to welcome them. I ask for prayers for
Msgr. Hinch who has been with us for so many years and who recently had an accident. He is presently recuperating at a rehabilitation center.
PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY LAND
Under the direction of Fr. Carlos and
Mother Maria, both as companions, all
members of our parish are invited to participate in 10 days of intense prayer and
walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Let’s discover these sacred sites and share a
unique experience.

Este fin de semana, la Segunda Colecta es par a el
“Mantenimiento & Restauración del Templo”. Agradecemos su generosidad y ayuda.
AYUDA DIOCESANA POR INUNDACIONES
La próxima semana, 20-21 de Junio, la Segunda Colecta se tomará para ayudar a la gente que han sido afectadas por las diversas
inundaciones a través de los Estados Unidos. (A los feligreses que
reciben los sobres les pedimos que utilicen el sobre de
“Mantenimiento y Reparación” para esta causa). Nuestras oraciones
y donaciones ayudarán a aliviar su sufrimiento mientras se recuperan
y reconstruyen sus vidas y sus propiedades. Agradecemos por su

DEL ESCRITORIO DE PADRE CARLOS
La llegada del verano nos permite hacer un alto en el camino y
sentir mas de cerca la Presencia de Dios con el contacto con la
naturaleza, las vacaciones y el bullicio de niños y jóvenes. Un
tiempo que pasa rápido pero que puede ser aprovechado de
manera productiva: pastoral y familiarmente. La Confirmación
de mas de 200 jóvenes el sábado pasado, celebraciones que
fueron presididas por nuestro Obispo auxiliar Mons. Cisneros
y las celebraciones de la Primera Comunión, este Sábado 13 y
el próximo, concluimos las actividades del Centro de Educación Religiosa. Y podemos dar Gracias a Dios por todos estos
jóvenes y niños miembros de nuestra comunidad que han terminado su preparación sacramental, sus familias y los catequistas que han colaborado generosamente en su preparación.
Los agradecimientos son extensivos para la Directora del Centro, Madre María Amador quien junto con Hna. Heidi Delgadillo la responsable de la Pastoral Juvenil y del programa RICA
(Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos) llevan sus hombros
la coordinación de tan importante ministerio. El verano también nos permite recibir a Hnos. Sacerdotes que siempre han
encontrado su casa entre nosotros y que van a seguir recibiendo nuestra hospitalidad y cariño, y al mismo tiempo nos ayudan con las misas y demás celebraciones. Así junto con el Padre James Rodríguez que ha estado ya ayudando con las misas
dominicales y estará de manera regular entre nosotros desde el
30 de Junio; y el P. Enel Almeus que también nos ayuda, contaremos con el Padre Robinson Sierra quien llega este fin de
semana y que ya había estado aquí en esta parroquia, en Julio
llegará el P. Jorge Patricio Montoya, y en Agosto el Padre Ignacio Francisco Cabrera. Les pido sus oraciones y acogida
fraternal para ellos lo mismo que sus oraciones para Mons.
Hinch quien colaboró generosamente con nosotros por muchos
años, pero ahora por la edad y un accidente que lo ha llevado a
un centro de rehabilitación ya no podrá seguir ayudándonos.

PILGRIMAGE DAY TO PHILADELPHIA FOR THE
EIGHTH WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES
The School of evangelization of the Diocese of
Brooklyn is sponsoring
a one day pilgrimage to
the Eighth World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia on Wednesday, September 23,
2015. Saint John Paul II
crated the World Meeting of Families in 1994
in Rome to explore the critical role the family plays in society and
to give families opportunities to talk with others about the challenges and blessings that all families have.
Note that Pope Francis will NOT be in Philadelphia on the day of
our pilgrimage.

PARISH SUPPORT INITIATIVE
Many parishioners understand the need for everyone to participate in our Parish Support Program. At Blessed Sacrament
Church, this participation will mean different things to different
people depending on the present degree of support, such as:
Register in Blessed Sacrament to establish membership.
1. Use weekly envelopes with a contribution.
2. Increase your weekly donation to Blessed Sacrament Church.
We will be able to meet our expenses if we have an increase in
our income. Each of us is aware of the costs of running our own
homes. The same demands apply to our parish. Whatever your
means allow, we ask you to considering increasing your contribution.
Our goals are:
1. To register more parishioners.
2. To realize an increase that will allow us to cover our daily
expenses.
PROGRAMA DE APOYO PARROQUIAL
Muchos feligreses comprenden la necesidad de la participación de todo
el mundo en el Programa de Apoyo Parroquial. Para la Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento, participación significa distintas cosas a distintas
personas, como:
1. Registrarse en el Santísimo Sacramento para establecer residencia.
2. Usar los sobres de la parroquia para sus donaciones semanales.
3. Aumentar su compromiso semanal a la Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento.
Solo podemos cumplir con nuestros gastos diarios si se han aumentado
los ingresos. Cada uno de nosotros es consciente de los gastos de la
financiación de nuestros propios hogares. Lo mismo es cierto de nuestra parroquia. Cualquier cosa que decida, su regalo debe tener alguna
relación con como se vive y ser proporcionales a su capacidad.
Nuestras metas son:
1. Inscribir más feligreses y
2. Llegar a un aumento en el que podamos cumplir con nuestros
gastos cotidianos.
