A Letter from Our Pastor
Congratulations, Graduates!
On Thursday, May 28, Sacred
Heart of Jesus School will
celebrate its 8th-grade
Graduation. This marks the end of a long journey for
the young men and women listed below. But it also
marks a beginning. We have seen these young
people grow and flourish here at Sacred Heart of
Jesus, academically, spiritually and emotionally. The
entire faculty and staff whole-heartedly applaud their
efforts.
I have had the privilege of teaching this particular
group of students one day a week in their Religion
Class. I am really impressed with their faith, their
maturity and their leadership for the younger
students. They will accomplish much as leaders and
as Christians in the years ahead. We pray for them
in the future, which is so bright.
Graduates, please remember that Sacred Heart of
Jesus has a part of your heart. You learned much
here during your sojourn, and this will surely bear fruit
as our Lord has promised to the faithful.
Thank you also, parents, grandparents and siblings of
these graduates. May God continue to bless us all in
our efforts to do His will.
Congratulations also to our Varsity Girls’ Volleyball
team (7th and 8th grades), who won the City
Championship this past weekend. Good going, girls!

The Anniversary Mass for couples celebrating their
25th, 50th or 50+ wedding anniversary in 2015 will be

Scholarship Applications Due May 29
The Betsy F Serafin Scholarship Fund provides
tuition assistance to students at Sacred Heart of
Jesus School. Applicants must be in grades 2-7
currently; demonstrate strong academic
achievement and financial need; must be
Catholic and their parents must be parishioners
of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Scholarship
awards will be for one-half tuition for one
academic year.

Fortnight for Freedom June 21-July 4:
This is the time when our liturgical calendar recognizes
great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of
persecution by political power: St Thomas More and
St John Fisher, St John the Baptist, SS Peter and

For the 21st year Serra Club of Boulder County holds
this fundraiser for vocations to ordained ministries
and consecrated religious life. A 4-Person Scramble
at Ute Creek Gold Course in Longmont, the tourney

Carta de Nuestro Pastor
Felicidades, Graduados
El jueves, 28 de Mayo, nuestra escuela Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, celebrará su graduación de octavo
grado. Esto marca el final de un largo viaje para los hombres y mujeres jóvenes. Pero, también marca un
comienzo. Hemos visto a estos jóvenes crecer y florecer aquí en Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, académica,
espiritual y emocionalmente. Todo el personal docente y administrativo aplaude sin reservas sus
esfuerzos.
He tenido el privilegio de enseñar esta clase en particular, un día a la semana en su clase de religión. He
estado tan impresionado con su fe, su madurez y su liderazgo para los estudiantes más jóvenes. Ellos
lograran mucho como líderes y como cristianos en los años venideros. Oremos por ellos en el futuro, que
es tan brillante. Sólo recuerden que Sagrado Corazón de Jesús tiene una parte de su corazón. Han
aprendido mucho aquí durante su estancia, y esto seguramente va a dar sus frutos ya que nuestro Señor lo
ha prometido a los fieles.
Gracias también, a los padres, abuelos y hermanos de estos graduados. Que Dios continúe bendiciéndolos
en nuestros esfuerzos para hacer su voluntad.
FELICIDADES: También, a nuestro equipo mujeres de Voleibol (7 y 8 grados), que ganó el Campeonato
de la ciudad este fin de semana pasado. ¡Bien hecho, jovencitas!
