Jesus, the Light of the World,
as we celebrate your birth may we begin to see the world
in the light of the understanding you give us. As you chose
the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest
news the world had ever known, so may we worship you
in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers
and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of
giving. Amen.
Jesús, Luz del Mundo,
mientras celebramos tu nacimiento podemos empezar a ver

JUBILEE YEAR OF
MERCY
In proclaiming the Jubilee Year of
Mercy, Pope Francis proclaimed his
desire that this Holy Year be “steeped
in mercy,” as we disciples “go out to
every man and woman,” bringing the
“balm of mercy” to “believers and
those far away, as a sign that the
Kingdom of God is already present in
our midst!” (Misericordiae Vultus, 5).
In her visitation of Elizabeth, Mary
beautifully presents just such an image. Despite the perils of her pregnancy, not to mention her preoccupations
as a young unwed mother, Mary instantly, unselfishly, “goes out” of herself, hastening far and over dangerous
terrain, to “bring the balm of God’s
tender mercy” in assistance rendered
to her older relative. Since baptism
and the Eucharist have made us, in a
way, bearers of the living Christ within as Mary was, such selfless “going
out” of ourselves to be of loving service to others in mercy should especially mark our Christmas season this
Jubilee Year

MIRACULOUS MEDAL
This past weekend we have distributed 3000 Miraculous medals. The
design of the miraculous medal was
given to St. Catherine Laboure on
July 18, 1830.From France the devotion spread
throughout the
world and the
medal came to
be known miraculous because of the wonderful cures both
of soul and body wrought through
it. The medal should not be used in
a superstitious way or as a good
luck charm, but as a sacramental
approved by the church. It can be
called a prayer in metal form.
Thank you Teresa Castillo for
providing the medals.
CONSECRATION TO

We thank all the people who made
the consecration to Jesus last weekend. You can do this still anytime
by giving your senses, your will,
your life to Mary so that she can
present them to her son Jesus. A
special thanks to all those who
helped in the preparation.

2015 DONACIONES
AÑO JUBILAR DE LA
MISERICORDIA
CONSAGRACIÓN A
