collecting non-perishable food and monetary

our parish is supporting a Christmas Gift Program for
needy individuals in Henderson County. Last year
your generosity brightened the Christmas for more
than 700 people. This year information with ages and
suggested gift ideas will be distributed before and after
all masses on November 22 & 23. Wrapped gifts will
be collected at all Masses on December 6 & 7. Won’t

Faith Formation News
PARKING DURING MASSES AND FAITH
FORMATION: We kindly ask parents of children
enrolled in Faith Formation to drop their children off
and find parking in the church lots on Buncombe
Street and along Oakland Street by St. Gerard House.
Many of our elderly members are having trouble
finding a spot closer to church.
THANKSGIVING BRUNCH:
On November 17th, at 10a.m., in the
Immaculata school gym, the Pre-K classes
will be having their annual Thanksgiving Brunch.
This is a time for the children to honor and to thank
their parents, family members and volunteers for
everything that they do for us. Please join us for this
special time with our preschool.
FIRST COMMUNION PARENT MEETING:
A First Communion parent informational meeting will
be held Tuesday November 18 at 7pm at the gym. This
meeting is obligatory for at least one parent. Children
need not attend.

NOVEMBER 16, 2014
REACH FOR THE FUTURE DINNER AUCTION
AND GALA: Once again Immaculata Catholic School
will be hosting their annual fundraising event, Reach
for the Future Dinner Auction and Gala, to be held on
Saturday, February 7, 2015. We are asking various
ministries of our parish to sponsor a basket to help this
worthy cause. Your ministry can either put together a
basket or donate funds so our committee can put together a basket for you. Also, if any of your
members have a personal item to donate, we would be
most appreciative of contributions of paintings,
jewelry, or other household items that are in very good
condition. We will need these donations by Sunday,
January 11, 2015. Please let one of us know at least
two weeks before if you will be donating a basket or

ANNIVERSARY MASS AND
CELEBRATION 2015: If you will
be celebrating a major wedding
anniversary during the calendar year
2015 of 25, 30, 35 years or more (in 5-year
increments), please join us on February 15, 2015 at the
11:30 a.m. Mass.
We wish to honor our special
couples for their commitment to God, spouse and
family with a special parish blessing, a reception and a
lovely “parchment” Papal Blessing from Rome. Since
Papal Blessings need to be ordered in advance,
there is a cut-off date of November 25, 2014.
Couples wishing to participate in this special event

the cost of the international shipping and of the Papal
Blessings would be appreciated to keep this program

PRISON MINISTRY: Prayers and Help Wanted Men and women detained for trial need companionship
and spiritual guidance. Our parish Prison Ministry has
been a factor at the Henderson County Detention
Center for the past two years, but there is much more
we can do. We have the opportunity to provide over
100 visitation hours a month, but are only providing
about half that amount. Some may be called to visit
inmates; others may be called to pray for ministers and
inmates. Pray for this ministry and see how you may
be called to serve. For more information, contact Bob

PRAYER ANCHOR: Would you like
someone to pray for your needs? A
prayer line has been organized in our
parish to pray for special needs. Just call
Gail Andrzejewski at 891-2424 or Mary

begin the prayer line. All requests will
be kept confidential.
An Attitude of Gratitude is the theme for the
Women’s Advent Program on Saturday,
November 22 at Saint Barnabas in Arden, and we
are excited to announce that Father Martin Schratz,
O.F.M. Cap., will be the speaker! Mass will begin at
9am followed by Brunch at 10am. Father Martin will
speak at 11am followed by the Rosary. The program
will also include Door Prizes and a Raffle which will
feature hand blown Glass Christmas Ornaments by
local artist, Terri Sigler. All Women are welcome and
the program is free since proceeds from the raffle help

Christmas Wish List for Teens in Need
In the coming weeks we will have our Teen Tree up with tags of items you can
purchase/provide for teens in need in our community. We will list items individually,
instead of individual teen with all their needs. This, we hope, will allow more people in
our parish family to share in giving and providing a blessed Christmas for so many teens.
We’ll have tags handing on our tree before Thanksgiving.

33er Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
El año litúrgico está llegando a su fin, el próximo domingo celebraremos la solemnidad de Nuestro Señor
Jesucristo, Rey del Universo. Por esta razón se nota el tono escatológico de las lecturas de los últimos
domingos del tiempo ordinario. El Evangelio de este domingo nos narra la parábola de los talentos, se nos
indica que hay que fructificar, hay que aprovechar el tiempo. De un momento a otro el Señor estará con
nosotros como juez universal. En la parábola vemos como un hombre se va a tierras lejanas y reúne a tres de sus empleados
para confiarles sus pertenencias. Reparte talentos, cinco y dos. Estos trabajan y entregan bien las cuentas. Sin embargo, el de
un talento no trabaja y es reprendido y echado fuera por no sacar provecho de lo que se le había confiado.
La plegaria eucarística IV nos habla de cuidar lo que Dios nos ha encomendado, los bienes de este mundo, es decir, la
creación entera, además de los bienes de nuestras propias cualidades de nuestros dones. "A imagen tuya creaste al hombre y
le encomendaste el universo entero, para que, sirviéndote sólo a ti, su Creador, dominara todo lo creado". La parábola nos
llama a reflexionar en: nuestros talentos, la vida familiar y la espera de la venida del Señor. Ojalá que al participar en la
Eucaristía el Señor nos dé la gracia que necesitamos para vivir con seguridad y confianza en el Señor. ¿Dónde están
trabajando nuestros talentos? ¿Están escondidos por vergüenza o por flojera? Al usarlos creativamente somos fieles a Dios y
a la creación que nos rodea.
"'Señor, cinco talentos me dejaste; aquí tienes otros cinco, que con ellos he ganado'. Su señor le dijo: 'Te felicito, siervo
bueno y fiel. Puesto que has sido fiel en cosas de poco valor te confiaré cosas de mucho valor. Entra a tomar parte en la
alegría de tu señor' ". - Mt 25, 20-21
MISA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIA:
Acompañemos a nuestros queridos
feligreses en dará gracias por todas nuestras
bendiciones durante la Misa de Acción de
Gracia, la cual se llevara a cabo el jueves,
27 de noviembre a las 10AM en nuestro templo
principal. Estaremos colectando alimentos enlatados y
aceptando donaciones monetarias durante el tiempo de
Ofertorio para apoyar al ministerio de IAM de
Hendersonville. Y no olviden traer un platillo de su cena
de Acción de Gracia para una bendición especial al
final de la Misa.

PERODICO ELECTRONICO
El grupo de Comunicaciones de la
iglesia está listo para lanzar nuestro
nuevo periódico electrónico llamado
“Bendiciones de la Inmaculada
Concepción.” El nuevo formato tomara el lugar de
nuestro periódico trimestral “La Buena Notica” como
una manera de ahorrar dinero mientras a la vez
dejarles saber sobre las actividades de la iglesia.
Características de los ministerios, nuevos feligreses, la
escuela de la Inmaculada y los eventos parroquiales
serán los puntos destacados de cada mes. Si ustedes
tienen interés en recibir este periódico electrónico,

TARJETAS DE COMPRA
Por favor recuerden comprar sus tarjetas
de compra de las tiendas de Ingles, Fresh
Market, y Wal-Mart después de la Misa
para beneficiar a nuestra escuela de la
Inmaculada. Al comprar un tarjeta de comparas, ustedes recibirán el valor total de que pagaron en sus tarjetas y el 5% de sus compras de tarjetas beneficiaran
directamente a nuestra escuela de la Inmaculada. Para
obtener su tarjeta de compras, lo único que tienen que
hacer es pasar a la mesa de ventas a la salida de la
iglesia. Sabían ustedes que si cada familia de la
parroquia comprará $100 en tarjetas de compras cada
mes, nuestra escuela de la Inmaculada recibiría
$11,000 al mes. ¡Gracias por su participación en este
programa!
EN BUSCA DE BAILABLES
Nuestra iglesia también esta en busca de
personas quienes desean ayudarnos con las
enseñanzas de los bailabas del día de nuestra
Señora. Si le gustaría ayudar o participar, por
favor pónganse en comunicación con Feliciano en la
oficina de la iglesia lo mas pronto posible.
LOS BOLETOS
Para la fiesta de Nuestra Señora de
Guadalupe estarán a la venta el
próximo domingo después de las Misas
Dominicales. La entrada de adultos es
de $5, y $2 para los niños menores de 10 años. Los
boletos también los pueden comprar en la oficina de
la iglesia durante la semana. No se venderán en la
entrada de la fiesta.
¿POR QUÉ DEBO REGISTRARME EN
MI PARROQUIA? Registrarse es muy
importante para poder inscribir a sus hijos
en el colegio Immaculata, para el
matrimonio, para bautizos, Quinceañeras, y para cartas
de recomendación (Inmigración) de la Iglesia
diciendo que usted pertenece a nuestra congregación.
En los archivos parroquiales estará su nombre y será
fácil encontrarlo cuando usted solicite algo. Cada mes
se le enviaran los sobres para la limosna con su
nombre y cuando utiliza los sobres de la donación, la
oficina parroquial reconoce que usted es un miembro
activo de nuestra congregación. La cantidad donada no
importa, su ayuda sí. El paquete de registración lo
pueden encontrar en el cuarto de las novia (a un lado
de baño de las mujeres), y también puede ser
encontrado en la oficina de la iglesia.

¿Acaso han tenido la oportunidad de
involucrase en nuestro programa “tarjetas de
compra”? La mejor parte es que no les costara
absolutamente nada. Un porcentaje de cada
compra de tarjetas será regresado a nuestra
escuela de la Inmaculada. Este año hemos logrado
recaudar más $20,000. Estas tarjetas pueden servir
como un buen regalo durante esta navidad o para

LIBRO MEMORIAL Y SOBRECITOS
Una Libro Memorial ha sido colocado
en el podio que está colocado en la sala
donde se encuentra la pila bautismal de
iglesia. El libro contiene los nombres de
los difuntos registrados en nuestra parroquia en el
pasado año. Ustedes pueden añadir los nombres
de sus seres queridos que han fallecido en pasado
año para que durante todos a las Misas del mes
noviembre se esté orando por ellos. También ya
están disponibles los sobrecitos de oraciones por
los difuntos después de la Misa dominical de la
1:30PM y 7:00PM, o también entre semana en la
oficina de la iglesia.
EN BUSCA DE LIBROS O NOVELAS
Nuestro ministerio de la Prisión esta
buscado de libros o novelas en español
para llevar a los presos hispanos en la
cárcel del condado de Henderson. Si ustedes tienen libros o novelas de pasta suave que ya no
leen y quisiera donarlos, les comunicamos que durante
todo el mes de septiembre nuestra iglesia de Inmaculada colocara una caja para la donación de libros a la
entrada principal de la iglesia. Solamente libros de
pasta suave son permitidos en las instalaciones de la
cárcel. De antemano, gracias por sus donaciones.

EL BAUTISMO
Los bautizos son el primer domingo del mes, después
de la Misa de la 1:30 PM. La clase de preparación,
que es un requisito para los padres y padrinos, tendrá
lugar el sábado a las 10 AM, en el Salón San Francisco. Por favor lleven una copia del acta de nacimiento
(No se aceptan tarjetas, tiene que ser una acta con
ambos nombres de los papás). Requisitos para ser
padrinos: Ser bautizado y tener la intención de asumir
las responsabilidades, tener uso de razón, haber
cumplido 18 años, estar confirmado, haber hecho su
Primera Comunión y llevar una vida de fe. Los
padrinos han de ser solteros o casados por la Iglesia
Católica. No pueden vivir en unión libre, ya que deben
de ser modelos de vida cristiana para los ahijados. Para
preguntas favor de llamar a Feliciano de la oficina al
693-6901. Los niños deben de tener la edad de 0 a 6
años. Si son mayores deberán atender la clase de la
Primera Comunión y un mes antes de terminar la
Primera Comunión serán Bautizados.

Para pedir una Misa por la intención de un ser querido,
difunto o vivo, llame a las oficinas de la iglesia al 693
-6901 en horas laborales (lunes a jueves, 8:30AM-4:30
PM, y viernes 8:30 AM-1:00 PM). Se necesita pedir la
Misa con al menos cuatro meses de anticipo. Se
acostumbra dar una ofrenda.
ALCOHÓLICOS ANÓNIMOS
Es una comunidad de hombres y mujeres que
comparten su mutua experiencia, fortaleza y esperanza
para resolver su problema común y ayudar a otros a
recuperarse del alcoholismo. El único requisito para
ser miembro de A.A. es tener el deseo de dejar la
bebida. Para mas información sobre los horarios, favor

TIENDA DE AVE MARIA: Contamos con Biblias,
rosarios, medallas, libros de oración, crucifijos,
estatuas, tarjetas de oración, regalos sacramentales y
mucho mas! Estamos localizados en la calle 718
Oakland, cual se encuentra ubicada atrás de la escuela
de la Inmaculada. Para mas información, favor de

de martes a viernes de 10AM-5PM.

LA PRESENTACIÓN DE LOS NIÑOS
Cada segundo domingo del mes se invita a los niños y
niñas que cumplen los tres años ese mes para recibir
una bendición especial, junto con sus padres y
padrinos. Al igual que José y María cuando llevaron al
Niño Jesús al templo para consagrarlo al Señor,
también reconocemos que los hijos son de Dios, y a Su
servicio y cuidado se los encomendamos. Para poder
participar, deberá darle al Padre Roberto un
papelito con el nombre del niño o la niña
claramente escrito antes de empezar la Misa. El
Padre Roberto los invitará a subir al santuario después
de la celebración de la Eucaristía.
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE DONDE CONSEGUIR AYUDA
Si quiere saber a donde y como conseguir ayuda para
atención médica, cuidado de niños, necesidades
básicas como comida, alojamiento, luz y agua,
consejería, u otros servicios humanitarios, solo tiene
que marcar el 2-1-1 y explicarle a la operadora cual es
su necesidad. Se habla español de 3 a 7 PM, y le darán
el nombre, dirección y teléfono de la agencia donde
puedan prestarle ayuda.
AVISO Puede conseguir muebles, ropa y artículos
para el hogar en el depósito del Buen Samaritano, a
un lado del Colegio Inmaculada. Abrimos los martes
de 5PM a 7PM, y los sábados de 10AM a 12PM.
También si usted tiene muebles, artículos para donar
en buena condición llame a Feliciano de la oficina para
hacer su donación. 693-6901.
MINISTERIO DE CUIDADO DE LOS ENFERMOS Si usted tiene algún familiar o conocido de la
comunidad que se encuentre enfermo y desea que se le
visité o se le lleve la Santa Comunión, bien sea en la
casa donde éste reside u hospital, puede comunicarse
con Feliciano de la oficina al 693-6901.

PUESTO DE OPORTUNIDADES DE TRABAJO
Nuestra iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción cuenta con
un puesto de oportunidades de trabajos para personas
quienes estén buscando un empleo o para quienes estén
necesitando trabajadores. Este puesto de trabajos está
colocado en la parte exterior del segundo piso de la iglesia, al lado izquierdo de donde está la entrada principal
de la oficina de la iglesia. Si ustedes desean poner un
