The sacraments are not denied to anyone, but certain
conditions must be met: 1. Attend a preparation class;
2. Be a Baptized Catholic; 3. Be living according to the
rules of the Catholic Church. Parents must be active
members of the parish with regular participation for at
least 6 months. If the sponsors belong to another parish
or community, they must submit letters of recommendation signed by their pastor stating that they are active
members in good standing of their parish.
Registration for Baptism: Registration and
guidance is available by appointment with one of the
parish priests in the Church office between 9:00 am to 5:00
pm two months in advance of administering the sacrament
of Baptism. A copy of the birth certificate is required at the
time of registration.
The preparation class for parents and godparents
is the first Sunday of each month at 12:30 pm.
Baptisms are held the last Sunday of the month at 2:30
pm.
Important: Registration must be completed in the
church office with one of the priests.
Arrangements must be made at least six months in
advance. The Catholic party must be a registered,
active member of the Parish, using. Call for an appointment.
Please call the office if anyone is sick at home, in the
hospital, nursing home or assisted living, and wishes to
be visited.
Persons entering the hospital or hospice are
encouraged to be anointed ahead of time. To make an
appointment, call the office.

today’s readings invites us into silent
contemplation of the mystery of our
redemption. There are so many levels on
which to understand the events of the Passion. The woman who anoints Jesus acts prophetically in
a way that the other disciples do not yet grasp. AnoinƟng
is for priests, prophets, and kings, and also for the preparation of the dead. It is for healing and for holiness. Her
action acknowledges the imminent events of the passion
and death of the Lord, and points toward his resurrection
and triumph over evil and death. He is priest and victim,
prophet and God, King and Lord. All these things are
acknowledged in her prophetic anointing.

A Pontifical Collection
Christians around the world are united in a
special way during Lent, Holy Week and
Easter. Our hearts, minds and prayers are
also especially aware of the Holy Land.
Our parish, once a year on Good Friday, is called on to
support Christians in the Holy Land. Many Christians in the
Holy Land depend on the collection for their lives.
As a pontifical collection requested by Pope Francis, the
annual Good Friday Collection offers a direct link for
parishioners to be witnesses of peace and to help protect the
Holy Places. When you donate on Good Friday, you are
supporting Christians in the Holy Land.
Franciscans and others in the Holy Land are housing and
feeding the poor, providing religious formation and
education, maintaining shrines and parishes, and
conducting pastoral ministry. For more information, visit

PEDRO E SUA NEGAÇÃO
Já que não dá para falar aqui de todos os
personagens da Paixão do Senhor, fixemos
nossa meditação sobre o apóstolo Pedro. É
conhecida de todos sua tríplice negação de
que conhecesse Jesus. Essa queda repetida tem sua
origem no orgulho do apóstolo. Ele se achava melhor do
que os outros. Pode-se perceber isso, relendo suas
palavras, logo após Jesus lhes ter predito que todos se
escandalizariam com sua prisão e morte. “A inda que
todos se escandalizem de ti, eu, porém, nunca!” (v. 14,
29). No momento em que ele se achou melhor que todo
mundo, se afastou da graça de Deus. Mas se muito
grande foi sua negação, seu arrependimento também o
foi: “Lembrando-se (da profecia de Jesus), rompeu em
soluços” (Mc 14, 72). Quando vejo que errei, tenho a
humildade de voltar atrás?
PARA REFLETIR
Sou igual aos outros, filhos do mesmo Pai e, portanto,
meus irmãos. Cristo prometeu que estaria presente onde
dois ou três se reunissem em seu nome. Isolado em meu
egoísmo, estarei morto dentro de mim.

Domingo de Pascua: Horario regular
Los sacramentos no se les niega a ninguna
persona, pero algunas condiciones deben
cumplirse:
1. Preparación;
2. Ser Católico Bautizado;
3. Tener la vida de acuerdo con las reglas de la
Iglesia
Católica. Los padres deben ser
miembros de la comunidad por participación
regular (Católicos practicantes con al menos seis
meses de participación en la comunidad). Si los
padrinos pertenecen a otra parroquia o comunidad, deben presentar cartas de recomendación y
aprobación de su último párroco.
Registración para Bautismo: Para llenar la
registración y recibir orientación, por favor
llamar a la oficina para poner una cita con uno de
los sacerdotes.
Preparación para el Bautismo: El primer
miércoles del mes a las 7:30pm, en DePaul
Center.
Celebración del Bautismo: Último domingo del
mes, durante la misa.
Nota: La registración debe ser llenada por uno
de los sacerdotes, por lo menos con dos meses
de anticipación.
La celebración de Pascua se acerca
rápidamente. En la tienda de la Iglesia
tenemos muchos artículos para sus seres
queridos y amigos. En el mes de mayo,
vamos a celebrar los Sacramentos de la
Comunión y Confirmación. Tenemos regalos
para estas dos ocasiones incluyendo velos,
corbatas, etc. Los ingresos de todas las ventas
en la tienda benefician nuestra Parroquia.
