For the week of November 10-14
This week we will be focusing on Be Literate, Be a Writer, and Be a Reader.
Be a Writer: We will learn about informative essays. Students will be working
in pairs to create an informative essay, as a keynote presentation, about a
world wonder.
Be Literate: Students will continue with the grammar topic of regular and
irregular past tense verbs, and they will begin to learn about conjunctions.
Be a Reader: We will focus on more world wonders, The Great Wall of China,
Victoria Falls in southern Africa, and The Grand Canyon.
Vocabulary words

Monday
In class we have been learning about world wonders, choose one
that we have not seen, for example The Forbidden City in China, The
Empire State Building in The United States, The Panama Canal, Machu
Picchu in Peru, Petra in Jordan, or any other that has not been seen in
class. Research it, then copy and answer the following questions in
your notebook. Don’t forget your date and title, and as always
neatness counts!
