Does your student participate in summer camps such as swimming lessons,
Park District Camps, Sports Camps etc? Become a PTA Member today so
your student is eligible to apply for the Schaumburg Township Council
(STC) of PTA’s Summer Scholarship Program! Application forms will be
available in early spring.
The STC Annual Auction & Dinner is coming up on March 13th. All
proceeds for this fundraiser will benefit the Scholarship Foundation.
Join in for a fun filled evening!
Time is running out! Now is your chance to nominate officers for the 20152016 PTA Executive Committee. Do you know someone who is
enthusiastic, available & willing to commit their time to support our school
and all the wonderful causes PTA represents? The officer positions include
PTA President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. If you have any
questions or would like more information please contact any of our PTA
Executive Committee members. Please use the enclosed form to nominate
yourself or someone else by the February 27th deadline.

What is the STC Elementary Summer Scholarship Program?
As part of its commitment to life-long learning, the STC of PTAs offers scholarships for summer
programs/camps to District 54 students in first through seventh grades. During the summer months,
does your student participate in Park District Camps, Swimming, Basketball or Soccer Camps, YMCA
Camps, Boy/Girl Scout Camps etc?
If your answer is YES then be sure to submit your Hanover Highlands PTA Membership Form
so your student is eligible to apply for the STC Elementary Summer Scholarship Program!
Your student could be awarded a scholarship to help pay for these programs!

¿Qué es el programa de becas de verano para los estudiantes en las escuelas
primarias del STC?
Como parte del compromiso del aprendizaje durante toda la vida, el STC de PTAs ofrece becas para
los programas y campamentos de verano para los estudiantes del distrito 54 del primero al séptimo
grado. Durante el verano, ¿su hijo participa en los campamentos del distrito de parques, en natación,
baloncesto, fútbol soccer, campamento de YMCA, campamento de niños/as exploradores/as, etc.?
Si su respuesta es SÍ, entonces debe asegurarse de entregar su solicitud de membresía
a la Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA por sus siglas en inglés)
¡para que así su hijo pueda ser elegible para solicitar una beca de verano del programa de

Do you ever feel nervous or unsure of what to
expect before a meeting to discuss your child’s
IEP (Individualized Education Program for students
with special needs)? This workshop will focus on what you
need to know before, during and after your child’s IEP
meeting. Participants will leave with a clear understanding
of what to expect during an IEP meeting, a deeper
understanding of the components of the IEP, and a greater
understanding of the parents’ role as part of the IEP team.
