The day is sometimes referred to as Shrove Tuesday, from the word shrive, meaning "confess." Universal: Prisoners. That prisoners, especially the young, may be able to rebuild lives of dignity. In celebration of Mardi Gras, on Tuesday, after the 8:30 a.m. Mass, Fr. Daly will provide refreshments in the Rectory. Do you need to be more prayerful, more generous or more forgiving; can you reconcile with someone? The point is to grow spiritually. So, if you don't pray enough, don't just give up dessert - set aside time for prayer each day.
