The Crowne Plaza is located off I-80E at Madison Ave. (Not Business 80). Take Madison Ave. exit, turn right
and stay in the left hand lane (1 block). Turn left on Date Ave to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Sacramento
International Airport is just minutes away. The Hotel does not offer shuttle service from the airport. Parking
is ample, including space for motor homes and larger vehicles.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS: A group rate of $79 per room, per night, plus tax has been guaranteed for the show.
To receive this rate, make reservations directly with the Hotel no later than February 27, 2015 subject to
availability and mention the ‘NCEA EGG SHOW - Block Code E-15”.
All show participants renting tables in the showroom are required register to stay a minimum of one night
in the hotel.
CANCELLATIONS: There will be no refunds for table cancellations received after January 25, 2015.
TABLE REGISTRATION RULES: Tables will not be reserved without full payment. Checks should be made
payable to NCEA SHOW. Electrical Hook-ups: All wall space has electrical outlets. The Hotel will provide
electrical power strips for the interior tables for a fee of $5 (first come, first serve basis) or you may supply
your own extension cords and power strips.
Solid props, which cannot be seen through, may not be higher than 18”. See through props must not be over 28”
except on wall space. If you desire both a dealer and an exhibitor table, both tables must be registered as
Dealer/Exhibitor. Wall space tables are 8’x36”. Interior tables are 6’x30’. All tables will be draped with cloths
and skirted. You may furnish additional drapes (top only) and any other props. Each dealer/exhibitor must
make and display a minimum of (6) decorated eggs at their table. Please indicate on registration form the name
desired on table sign.

DEALER OR EXHIBITOR/DEALERS: Those selling egging supplies, materials, tools, etc. pertaining to
eggs and your personal decorated eggs. Free Assistants: 1-3 Tables (1 assistant), 4+ Tables (2
assistants). Additional assistants will be $8 each.

EXHIBITORS: You may display and sell only decorated eggs, made by you, from genuine eggshells. No
egg kits or patterns may be sold. If you sell anything other than decorated real eggs, you must register
as an Exhibitor/Dealer. One assistant is allowed for each full table rented with a limit of 2 assistants
per single Exhibitor registration. Additional assistants may be registered for an additional $8.
Table reservations must be submitted on the attached NCEA registration form with full payment.

SET UP TIME: On Friday, Dealers and Exhibitor/Dealers may set up 8am-5pm and Exhibitors may set up
12pm–5pm. The showroom will be locked at 5pm on Friday. The showroom will be opened Saturday and Sunday
mornings at 7am for last minute set-up.
TAX INFORMATION: Sacramento County has a sales tax. All persons selling at the show must obtain their
own California Resale License. Visit the State Board of Equalization, www.boe.ca.gov or call 800 400-7115 for
a temporary seller’s permit. State residents should contact their local Franchise Tax Board.
SECURITY: Security will be provided during the showroom hours. The showroom will be closed and secured
and no one will be allowed into the showroom after hours. The Crowne Plaza and the Northern California Egg
Artists assume no liability for loss or damage.
REGISTERED GUEST: Any persons not renting table space may attend and participate in all activities as a
Registered Guest. The fee allows Registered Guests to participate in the following: Evening with the Eggsperts,
8am entry to the showroom on Saturday and Sunday and, for a separate charge, the ‘Taco Bar Buffet Meet &
Greet, Silvery Moon Madness and seminar participation. The Early Bird Rate is $20 ($15 for NCEA member).
Registrations received after January 25th or at the door will be charged an additional $5. No refunds after
1/25.
BADGES: An identification badge will be provided for you. You must wear your badge at all times for entrance
into all activities. There is no charge for Day visitors who are allowed entry into the showroom on Saturday
10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-3pm.
CHARITY: Proceeds from the show will benefit the ‘Shriners Hospital for Children – Transportation in the
Sacramento area. The Shriners provide hospitalization, treatment and transportation for children in dire need.
Many lovely egg designs donated by our members and various artists will be raffled at the end of the show.
100% of the raffle income will be donated and you do not need to be present to win. Please indicate on the
registration form if you will donate a lovely egg creation (include a box) for the Shriners. Please support this
effort! For more information on donating an egg for the Shriners table, please contact Janine Neely (916) 5024438.
DOOR PRIZES: Everyone is encouraged to donate a door prize. Please indicate on the registration form if you
want your donation given during the Show or at the banquet. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
“A BLAST FROM THE PAST’ MEET AND GREET: Festivities begin with a Taco Bar Buffet ($10) catered by
the Crowne Plaza. NCEA members will welcome the pre-registered guests, dealers, exhibitors and instructors
on Friday at 4 pm-5:30 pm. Reservations required no later than Feb 23rd. Please join us.
EVENING WITH THE EGGSPERTS: We are happy to feature this popular event for all pre-registered guests
and table participants on Friday evening from 5:30pm–6:30pm. Several artists will demonstrate ideas and
products they have found to be of help in decorating eggs. No selling in the room. Please contact Sharon Godat
at [email protected] if you would like to do a demonstration.
“SILVERY MOON” MADNESS: Due to popular demand, this event will be held two nights! Friday night from
7pm-10pm: Marcia Robbins, Teresa Ashmore, and Debbie Botts Poster. Saturday night following the banquet at
approximately 7:30: Sharon Arnett, Gloria Harrison and Maria Avneri. Each evening will include three ‘mini’
projects for just $37 ($42 after Feb 1st) or save by registering for both nights for $70. This VERY popular
event is limited to just 50 students. Sign up and pre-pay with your reservation by February 1st to guarantee a
spot. Don’t miss out! Bring your RET’s including a pair of sharp scissors, favorite white glue and epoxy.

“25 YEARS OF EGGSCELLENCE” BANQUET: Plan to attend a fun filled banquet honoring our past show
directors for their contribution to our show’s history. Dress up time!! Please wear Black and/or Silver for this
evening’s event. Saturday evening a ‘No Host Bar’ at 5:30pm with the banquet following at 6:00pm is planned for
your pleasure. Many nice gifts will be awarded, compliments of Dealers, Exhibitors, NCEA members and others.
The sit-down dinner includes: salad, beverage, a choice of entrée and dessert. See Registration Form for
details, the price is dependent on your choice of entrée and includes tax, tip and gratuity. Reservations and
prepayment is required no later that Feb 23rd with your registration form. Early reservation is recommended,
as the banquet will be limited to 70 guests.
SHOW TIMES: Dealers, Exhibitor/Dealers, Exhibitors and Pre-Registered Guests may enter the showroom
from 8am-5pm on Saturday and 8am-3pm Sunday. All others may enter at 10am. No one is allowed in the
showroom on Friday except table participants.
SEMINARS: A variety of seminars will be held on Wednesday through Sunday. All students must be preregistered and wear their badges for entry to seminars (see seminar information on following pages for times

This is an ostrich egg with a Lennox China cat holding a flowerpot of tulips.
The tulip design is on the front and back of the shell. The egg is beaded and
the tulips and bows are done with Swarovski crystals. NO HOMEWORK.

This kit is an expanded egg heavily encrusted with filigree, trim, rhinestone
chain, ball chain, and vintage jewels. The base color is a blackberry glitter
and has expanded sides accented in a raspberry glitter. It is accented on the
top and bottom with gold and crystal beads with a tassel. Your kit will include
a precut egg, glitter and all the parts you need to finish this kit. If you like
glitz and glamour this is the egg for you. Photos and detailed instructions are
also included, as well as one on one time in class. If you would like a different color combination just let me
know. NO HOMEWORK. Please bring: RET’s, E6000 glue, flush cutters, and a glue bottle with a metal tip

You will receive a kit with a precut 9 5/8” goose egg. It will have a latticed background and
then you will have a beautiful blue glitter to coat your egg. You will be embellishing the egg
with cording, rhinestone chain, flatback rhinestones, filigrees, and crystals. You will finish
with a very “glitzy” ornament. This has been one of my old favorite ornaments, so I have
decided to teach it again. NO HOMEWORK. Please bring: RET’s, a container to catch
excess glitter, a ½” paint brush, wire cutters, pliers, and a glue bottle with a fine metal
tip and preferably Gemtak glue.

This egg is the first of a series of three designs to be taught in the U.S. during
2015. Numbers will be restricted as the oriental ladies which are being used are
all handmade and are subject to limited availability. Please book early to secure
your place. Stylized cherry blossoms decorate this rhea egg, front and back are
outlined with gold Japanese silk and filled with three shades of pink and two
shades of green 1.5mm half pearls. The screen inside the egg will be made on the
day to complete the scene inside the egg as our lady plays her musical instrument.

small door opening at the bottom of the front. Scrolls with teardrop openings go
up the sides. Inside a beautiful colonial doll stands next to a pretty tree waiting
in the garden. White opal stones are used. The colors of this egg are light blue,
royal blue and peach. May not finish in class. Homework: Egg will be sent to you
with some work to be completed before class: cut, paint & glitter. Please

of eggshell. Cutout sections on top of egg allow animal print fabric to peek though. May not

them in class. Very limited egg cutting will be done in class (a drill will be available
to borrow in class if necessary). A baby dressed in a hand-knitted 2-ply robe and
