The position involves co-hosting a new Chair in Educational Innovation in the Sorbonne University cluster EURAXESS RESEARCH FIELDS Computer science Other Educational sciences Other TEACHING Relevant teaching topics The recruited professor will teach computer science at the undergraduate and master’s level, as well as participating in doctoral level teaching and online training. Teaching objectives and supervisory requirements As part of his or her teaching responsibilities, the successful applicant will help design and implement teaching innovations at UPMC that are developed within the framework of the interdisciplinary chair in teaching innovation supported by the creation of the Center for Research and Teaching Innovation (CRIN) at the Sorbonne University cluster. The recruited candidate will supervise student research projects (AREs) for first-year undergraduate students as well as offer career guidance and advice on entering the workforce, in particular as part of the formal career guidance and workforce readiness courses offered as part of the undergraduate degree program. RESEARCH UPMC is looking for a professor with recognized research experience in the field of Computer Environments for Human Learning (EIAH) to develop international collaborations, direct multidisciplinary research projects with potential applications in serious gaming and/or learning environments such as MOOC or SPOC and enhance the training potential for the MOCAH team at the Lip6 laboratory. The desired expertise therefore includes one or more of the following topics: automatic analysis of learners’ patterns (“Learning Analytics”), designing teaching resources (especially “serious games”), intelligent tutoring systems, collaborative learning environments, cognitive diagnosis of learners, dynamic personalization and/or adaptation of teaching methods.
