All parents are encouraged to sit with their children in the front pews. SOROKOUSTY: LENTEN REMEMBRANCE OF OUR BELOVED DECEASED We will celebrate the prayer services for the deceased — Sorokousty — on Saturday, February 7, February 28, March 7, March 14 and May 23 following the 8:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy. Those who had their beloved deceased remembered in this service last year can find their Sorokousty booklets arranged alphabetically on a table in the lower level of church. Please pick up your book, update the list of deceased, if necessary, and return the book with the customary $15 offering, place them in an envelope, and place in the collection basket. All books should be returned as soon as possible. If you need a new book, they are available in The Mosaic. SOROKOUSTY BOOKS The number of Sorokousty books that were made available this year on the table in the church hall were only those that were claimed for the year 2014. There are a considerable amount of Sorokousty Books in the Rectory Office that were not made available because they were not claimed last year. We urge all parishioners to remember your deceased loved ones at this year’s Sorokousty remembrances. If your family has a Sorokousty Book and needs to be updated, chances are that your family’s book is in the Parish Office. Kindly call and inquire whether or not there is indeed a book available with your family name on it. It is the responsibility of all families of St. Josaphat’s Parish to remember and keep updated your remembrance books.
