Instruction Booklet for the Private College Pre-PG Dental Examination (2015-16)
(For admission to MDS Courses)
The Federation of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of Rajasthan will conduct Private College
Pre-PG Dental Examination 2015-16 for admission to MDS courses in Private Dental Colleges of
Rajasthan on Sunday-8th Feb 2015. Eligible candidates are required to appear in the aforesaid
examination mentioned below.
1.
Eligibility for Admission
(I)
Applicable to all:
All candidates seeking admission to Courses should have:
(1) completed satisfactorily one year’s compulsory rotating internship after passing the final
B.D.S. examination,
(2) Candidates should obtain a minimum of marks at 50th percentile in the Private Colleges Pre
P.G. Dental Examination 2015-16. However in respect of candiate belongings to Schedule
Caste, Schedule Tribes and Other Backward Class the minimum marks shall be 40th
percentile.
(II) For claiming reservation and relaxation under SC/ST/OBC and OSBC Category:
Candidates are required to submit an attested copy of the caste Certificate from the competent
authority .

Other Conditions for Private Colleges Pre-PG Dental Examination 2015
a.
The candidate seeking admission to the Private Colleges Pre-P.G. Dental Examination must
submit his/her application on the prescribed form latest by 3.00 PM on Monday Feb, 2nd
2015 in the Office of the Convenor, Private College, Pre-PG Dental Examination-2015,
Pacific Institute of Management, Pacific Hill, Opp. Transport Nagar Extn., Airport
Road, Debari, Udaipur. Forms can be deposited personally also between 11.00 to 15.00
Hrs.
b.
The candidate shall fill in the application form in his /her own handwriting.
c.
It will be responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she fills in the correct address in the
form. (The Federation shall not be held responsible for any loss in transit or any incorrect address
given by the candidate).
d.
Application form incomplete in any respect shall be liable to rejection and no correspondence in
this regard would be entertained.
e.
The candidate will be required to attend the Counseling for Admission at Pacific Institute of
Management, Pacific Hill, Opp. Transport Nagar, Pratap Nagar, Extn., Airport Road,
Debari, Udaipur on his/her own expenses on scheduled dates.
No individual intimation will be sent in this regard.
3.
Details of Examination
The Examination will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at Udaipur at Pacific Institute of Management,
Pacific Hill, Opp. Transport Nagar, Pratap Nagar Exin., Airport Road, Debari Udaipur.
a.
The Private Colleges Pre-P.G. Dental Examination shall of the standard of B.D.S. Syllabus
prescribed by DCI and shall cover all the subjects of the B.D.S. Course.
b.
There shall be one papers of two hours duration, containing 100 multiple choice question.
c.
The Examination Time is 8.00AM to 10.00 AM.
d.
The allotment of Roll Nos. and seating arrangement will be on discretion of the Federation.
e.
Candidate will be required to produce Admission card before he/ she is allowed to enter the
examination centre.
f.
Centre of Examination:- The Examination will be held only at Udaipur at Pacific Institute
of Management, Pacific Hill, Opp. Transport Nagar, Pratap Nagar Extn., Airport Road,
Debari, Udaipur.
g.
The candidates are expected to take his/her seats 15 minutes before commencement of the
examination. No candidate coming after 15 minutes of the commencement of the examination
will be permitted to appear in the examination.
h.
No candidate will be allowed to carry any text material written or printed, bits of paper or any
other material except the admission card inside the hall. Cellular/ Mobile Phone/ Pager/
Calculator etc. will not be permitted in the examination hall.
i.
The candidates will be required to darken the appropriate ovals using Black/Blue Ball Point
Pen / HB Pencil to indicate the Roll Number on the OMR answer-sheet. Marking wrong
ovals in the Booklet code or Roll Number Box will be treated as unfair means may lead to
disqualification.
j.
The Examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH medium only

All questions shall be objective type. The candidates should darken the appropriate circles/ovals
using Black/Blue Ball Point Pen/ HB Pencil. Therefore, the candidates are advised to finalize
their choice before marking on OMR sheet. Overwriting is not allowed. If you darken more
than one circle, your answer will be treated as wrong .Do not makes any stray marks on the
answer sheet. Do not fold the answer sheet. Rough work should not be done on the answer
sheet.

No candidate will be allowed to go outside the examination hall till the completion of
the examination.
m.
Candidate will be given the carbon copy of OMR sheet after the exam by the invigilator. The
marking on original OMR Answer Sheet will be final and binding.
n.
Each answer with correct response shall be awarded four marks. Negative marking will be
adopted for incorrect responses. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Zero mark will be given for the question not answered. More than one answer indicated
against a question will be deemed as incorrect and one mark will be deducted accordingly.
o.
The Jurisdiction of the Court cases will be at Udaipur only.
Declaration of Results
Result will be prepared on the basis of data obtained from OMR scanning of answer sheets.
Separate merit list of qualifying eligible candidates will be prepared for each category. In case of
two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the examination, the inter semerit of such candidates
shall be determined in according to age, older will be get preference over younger.
5.
Details of Counseling
The successful candidates will be required to attend the Counseling for Admission on his/ her
own expenses on scheduled intimated date and time in this regard.

Presence of candidates or duly authorized representatives at the time of Interview is
essential.
The admission of the candidate failing to join the allotted course within the stipulated time will
be deemed as cancelled.
Under no circumstance the place and subject once decided shall be changed.
Note:
(1) The vacancies arising due to not joining of the candidates within the stipulated time
shall be filled by candidates from the merit list on merit cum preference basis at the
earliest.
(2) No admission will be made after 31st May, 2015 even if any vacancy is left unfilled or
any vacancy occurs subsequently.
6.
Seats and reservation
1. Distribution of seats among General and Reserved categories shall be as per rules and
regulations of Hon'ble Supreme Court, State Government in this regards.
2. 15% seats are reserved for NRI/Management Students as per directions of Hon'ble
Supreme Court of India.
7.
Fee Structure for MDS Course (2015-16)
As per the direction of State Government in this regard.
The selected candidates shall also be required to submit Bank Guarantee / Cash Security for
remaining years of the total course fee at the time of getting admission.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.
The Private-P.G. dental Examination shall be conducted at Udaipur only. All candidates are required to appear at the
Private Pre-P.G. Dental Examination at their own expenses.
2.
The candidates are expected to take their seats 15 minutes before commencement of the examination. No candidates
coming after 15 minutes of the commencement of the examination shall be permitted to appear in the examination.

Candidate will be required to produce Admission Card before he/she is allowed to enter the examination centre.

Candidate must bring two blue/black ballpoint pints and two HB Pencil.

Candidate should read the instructions given on OMR Sheet carefully. All entries must be filled by ball point pen.
Darken the appropriate circles/ ovals using blue/ black ballpoint pen/ HB pencil. Therefore, the candidates are
advised to finalize their choice before marking on OMR sheet. Overwriting is not allowed. If you darken more
than one circle, your answer will be treated as wrong. Do not make any stray marks on the answer sheet. Do not
fold the Answer sheet. Rough work must not be done on the answer sheet.

The candidate shall maintain silence and attend to their paper only. Any disturbance by the candidate at the
examination will be deemed misbehavior and the candidate involved in such activity shall forfeit his /her right to
continue in the examination. The decision of the Center Superintendent shall be final and conclusive in the matter.

No candidate shall be allowed to go portside the examination hall till the completion of the examination.

Candidate will be given the carbon copy of the OMR sheet after the exams by the invigilator. Writing anything on
the Admission card any stray paper will be treated as unfair means. Candidate should not temper with question
booklet or tear any page out of it.
