MWAA Track Meet

Time:
The Championships will again be held on Vianney’s campus. The meet will
begin at 1:30 pm. We will begin some field events at 1:30 pm and the running
events will begin at 2:00 pm.
Coaches Meeting:
Each team must have one representative present at the 1:15 pm meeting in the
pavilion on the west side of the bleachers. Scratches only will be taken the day
of the meet. No additions can be made.
Entries:
Limit of 3 entries per individual event and 1 relay per school. Athletes may not
compete in more than four events. Entries are due by 4:00 pm on Wednesday,
April 29 Online Entry Form . Please use Varsity as the division for your athletes.
Scratches/Changes deadline is April 29 at 9:00 am. Scratches/Changes
Athlete Check in:
Field event participants must check in at the competition area. All running
participants must check in at the designated bullpen area at the north/east end
of the track prior to the race.
The running events will be power seeded and there will be a timed final with no
prelims.
Field events (except high jump and pole vault) will have 4 attempts with the
best performance of the 4 attempts determine the medals Long jump will be
run cafeteria style. High jump will be 3 alive. Pole vault will be run 5 alive. Be
sure that your athletes get their jumps in so that it is fair for those waiting for
the next height.
Scoring:
Points will be given through 8 places. (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1). Medals will be
distributed for 1st -3rd place and ribbons for 4th-8th.
Games committee:
The games committee will be made up of the head coaches from Cor Jesu, St.
Joe and Incarnate.
Markers:
No tape on the track surface.
