From all the pictures on Facebook; it looks like there was a great turnout and plenty of classics to admire! Hopefully OFC will have monthly activities that we can enjoy as a club...in March we’ll have a chili feed and Rod is planning a mystery cruise sometime this spring. Let the fun begin!! Shari BREAKFAST/CLUB MEETING JANUARY 10TH, 8:00 AM SCHROEDER’S This is our first combined breakfast and club meeting. COMMITTEE REPORTS 1. Auto Council — Jim B./Vicki: No report. 2. Membership — Shari: Membership Renewal forms are now available. Renewal deadline is January 31, 2015. Cost is $30. 3. Events — See details under new business and Upcoming Events. 4. Finance — Jim S.: No report. It was decided that we will pay our charities as usual for this year. Next year we will need to decide what charities we want to keep supporting. If you have ideas on this or would like to provide your input , a budget meeting will be scheduled after the first of the year. Jim B., Del, Blaine, Margaret and Rod will be attending. They will also be looking into the necessity of continuing to pay club insurance. If you would like to attend see Rod B. 5. Fleet Sheet — Shari: We will be having a recap of past and present club activities in the Fleet Sheet and then it will be discontinued. Minutes will be taken at the breakfast meeting so we can keep track of upcoming club events. Shari will send out the minutes prior to the monthly breakfast meeting. 6. Raffle Tickets — We will no longer be doing a raffle. Money jar will be continued. 7. Snacks — We will no longer be having snacks since we will be having a breakfast meeting. 8. Website — Al Lake: No report. It was decided at the meeting that the website will remain up until August 2015 in order for our show sponsors to get their year’s worth of advertising. Then it too will be discontinued. Old Business Operation Santa 2014 — There was a good turnout for this event at Center 50+ on November 22nd. Connie was very appreciative of our club showing up to help for the last several years. After finishing, members and friends went to Almost Home for lunch. Spirit Mountain Brunch — What a great turnout we had; about 50 members and friends. Enjoyed the good food and then went in to sample the Chocolate Decadence Show that was going on that day. Cruise-In Report It has been decided that we will not do a cruise-in for 2015. We will restructure and see how things go this year. New Business Santa Cruise — Saturday, December 6th at the Stayton Fire Department. As always, entry fee is a new unwrapped toy. This is for a great cause, the food is excellent and it’s nice to get out with our classics for a few hours. Christmas Party — It is December 7th at the Fire Hall. Adam’s Rib will be catering it. The club decided on a menu that includes tri tip, smoked turkey, red potatoes, and other side dishes. Mike Adams will provide the table cloths for the food tables, plates, napkins and utensils. The club will provides cloths for the eating tables and drinks (pepsi, pepsi, pepsi). Members should also bring their favorite dessert to share. You may also want to bring containers to take home any leftovers from the meal. There will be a gift exchange at the party. Please bring a new item from $15 to $20 for each club member per household. Albany Winter Rod & Speed Show — It will be on Saturday, January 3rd. Set up will be on Friday. This is a very worthwhile charity event so hopefully you can attend. There will be a $300 club participation award. Page 3 New Business (cont) Mystery Cruise — Rod B. is working on a mystery cruise to take place in the spring. He says you will need a full tank of gas and lunch money. He will be doing a test run of the route so he can let us know how far it is so those with less than fuel efficient cars can plan gas station stops. Keizer Parade of Lights — This event is on Saturday, December 13th and begins at 7:00 p.m. Winter Rod and Speed Show — This show is on January 3rd in Albany. Get your entries in soon as this show fills up quite fast. Other Business Board of Directors — We will only have two directors. Bert and Rod will be co-directors of the club for 2015. Bert’s position will be up at the end of that year and Rod’s the year after, 2016. That gives everyone time to decide if they would like to be the next co-chair. Club Items — Those members that have club items (banners, utensils, signs, etc.) NEED TO TAKE INVENTORY AND BRING THAT LIST WITH THEM TO THE JANUARY BREAKFAST MEETING so it can be decided what will be done with it all. We may raffle off some of the items. Breakfast Meetings — Our January meeting will be on January 10th at Schroeder’s Guest House. Hope to see you there. Money Jar — A name in the money jar was pulled and it was Jim & Cheryl who were not in attendance. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
