Business Consultant (Business Intelligence & Finance / Control)
The Business Consultant is member of the Business Engagement team and has a local and a central role.
In the central role he/she advises the operating companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland and Sweden on
innovations and process improvements, in the domains of Business Intelligence (BI) and Finance / Control (FiCo) .
Besides that, the Business Consultant is the trusted advisor of VAN IN, the operating company of Sanoma
Learning located in Belgium. In this role he/she supports local stakeholders for all matters in the domain of ICT
services that have impact on that operating company. The Business Consultant will report directly to the ICT
Director.
Job description
The Business Consultant has following key activities:





Development and management of the Sanoma Learning roadmap into the respective domain discussing
new business strategies, innovations and tactical requests for the domain Business Intelligence – Finance
and Control
Acts as a trusted advisor to the business of VAN IN
Organizes workshops to encourage understanding in the business about business changes and projects
Supports and guides business representatives in determining business requirements for ICT services and
ICT solutions in an early stage of projects and changes
Supports business case development with the business to justify new initiatives, innovations and projects,
and conducts an impact analysis of required changes as a preparation for the governance boards

Profile
 Master degree in Business Information Management or Business Administration
 At least 5 years’ experience in developing business solutions and working with business representatives.
 Expert knowledge in the field of business requirement management and realising business change.
 Expert knowledge of core business processes in process domain Business Intelligence / Finance and Control
 Experience with implementing IT solutions in Business Intelligence / Finance and Control domain, preferably
SAP
 Experience in working in an international environment
 Strong English language – written and spoken skills
 Excellent analytic and communication skills
 Willing to travel to Belgium (near Antwerp) a few days per week
