Saturday nights.

MUSIC REQUEST FORM
It is easy to let the DJ know what
songs you want to dance too. Just
fill out a song request form located
at the Greeters Desk. All of our
DJ’s will be glad to play them for
you. We hope to see everyone on
the dance floor on Saturday.
DANCE WITH ME LABELS
Singles and those who love to dance
with everyone - did you know that
“Dance With Me” labels are
available at the Greeter Table? Put
one on and everyone will know that
you are looking for someone to
dance with, and with our club you
will have no lack of partners.
MESSAGE FROM THE
PRESIDENT
WOW! January sure flew by
quickly. But what a great month.
First big event was the CSA contest
where the SSSC was represented
by two of our members. Then came
SOS Mid-Winter. Four days of
dancing and renewing old
friendships. Just a fantastic start to
shag 2015 as North Myrtle Beach
was crowded with shaggers from
all over. Now it is time to get ready
for February and - what else? Another party! That’s right our
St. Valentine party Feb 15 at the
Marlin in Garden City. Bill Jones
is the DJ. Members are asked to
bring a covered dish that will serve
about 12 people. We will raffle off
a basket provided by Debbie
Wilkins, guess the number of
candies in the jar, and of course
our famous 50/50. So if you are
excited about going to the party
make sure your membership has
been renewed.
CSA CONTEST
The Competitive Shag Association
held their annual shag contest at
the Beaver Bar in Murrells Inlet.
Many fine dancers competed for
prize money in three divisions,
Amateur, Novice and Pro.
Congratulations to Allan and Patty
Guazzo for representing the SSSC
in the competition and placing
third in the Amateur Division.
Also Congratulations to Darlene’s
grandson Noah for placing first in
the Junior Division. The SSSC
took this opportunity to donate
$250 to the Juniors who competed.
If you ever get a chance go see a
competition, you will see some of
the best shag dancers in the Shag
world.

How to get a SSSC Logo Shirt
The first Saturday of each month is Shirt Night. We
ask all members to wear their favorite club shirt.
Many club members have asked where they can get a
club shirt. This is easy to do. Just go to any store and
buy a shirt you like then take the shirt to Surf Water
Promotions (see their ad to the left) and they will
apply the SSSC logo to any location you want on the
shirt. They charge very reasonable prices and do a
great job. This also helps support one of our key
advertisers. Now there is no excuse not to have a
SSSC shirt on the first Saturday each month.
