Those of you thinking of running for office or would like to chair or be on a specific committee you need to contact the officers and come to the PER meeting January 26th. Our annual Hoop Shoot was a great success thanks to Ken Yagoda and his team it was a beautiful day with a good turnout. As of this writing we don’t know how they have done at the district level, but are anxious to find out. The purple pig is here. The use of the pig is for members to put it on their dresser at home and put their loose change in it. Once full you turn the pig in and the money will go to Harry Anna Trust or Elks National Foundation, your choice. This is a new program for our Lodge to raise money for our two main charities. Just one small thing the pigs on our first order were a lot smaller than anticipated. For this first time out we are giving everybody who wants one and all new members two pigs to fill. In order to participate all you have to do is ask the bartender for a pig and they will be happy to give two of them to you or more if you think you need. We hope these little piggy banks will assist us in achieving our goals as a Lodge. I sincerely hope that you find them and fill them. Thank you in advance for all help and or suggestions concerning the pig. We are having a Super Bowl Party on February 1st. Come and join in on the fun and games. I hope all had Happy Holidays and wish you many more to come. “IT’S GREAT TO BE AN ELK” Fraternally, Terry Anderson EXALTED RULER The XI Point Elk Hour is published monthly by Seminole Elks Lodge 2519, 10717 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, FL 33778 The Chaplain’s Corner Lou Atti, PER Every hour of the day is an unspeakably perfect miracle. President’s Message Holidays are over & Santa has gone back to the North Pole to start preparing for next year. Hope everyone had a good Christmas with their loved ones. Christmas in Kentucky was cold. I was greeted with snow on my arrival, but being with family and friends made my holidays warm and fuzzy. Our Winter Wonderland Dance was well attended and an enjoyable evening was had by all. The eggnog party sponsored by the Elks and LOE was as usual a fun afternoon. The New Year holds a whole lot of promises for both the Elks and the LOE. After a successful 2014 the month of January is starting slow. Our first LOE meeting is Jan. 5th at 7:30 PM. At this meeting we have a lot to discuss concerning our LOE functions for the year. There is a possibility of a function to be held later in the month. Please try to be in attendance at this meeting, we need your thoughts and ideas. Board meeting is at 7:30 PM on Jan 26th and the Elks Flea Market is on Jan 31st. I'm looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces.
