The Economist Events Announces First-Ever Chicago Innovation Forum In March
Innovation Leaders from Autodesk, Google, Honeywell, HP and PepsiCo to explore the
urgency of innovation across industries
(NEW YORK, NY) –The Economist Events’ annual Innovation Forum will make its debut
in Chicago on March 26th 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. The event will
explore how exponential technologies, frugal engineering and radical business models
are disrupting top industries and how leaders can adapt their business-models to
threats and opportunities that have not yet materialised.
The conference chaired by The Economist's China business and finance editor, Vijay
Vaitheeswaran, will gather editors from The Economist, Fortune 500 CEOs, policy
makers and entrepreneurs who are continuously disrupting the status-quo to discuss
how leaders across industries can prepare for disruption and survive the next wave of
mega-change.
"Today's global wave of disruption will wipe out many incumbents, but those dinosaurs
that learn to dance will thrive," said Vijay Vaitheeswaran, The Economist's China
business editor and chair of the event. "What makes this year's Forum so interesting is
that we are bringing a diverse group of industry leaders at the forefront of innovation to
a city that is an economic powerhouse--to discuss how disruption can drive profits and
contribute to global economic growth."
From educating tomorrow’s entrepreneurs to user-generated innovation, speakers and
attendees will explore what it takes to propel established industries forward. Some
