Entries: Please submit your running order to the Fryeburg Academy race entry system if you are
familiar with the system. Otherwise send running orders to John Weston by Wednesday, 2/11:
[email protected]
Eligibility: In order to participate in the state meet, a competitor must have competed in at least 3
events of the discipline in which they are competing (Alpine or Nordic; not Slalom, GS, Skate or
Classic).
Seeding: *8 racers per gender per school. Alternates do not need to be listed and can be inserted day of.
*Coaches may submit different running orders for each race.
*Each seed will be randomly drawn. Each race will be re-drawn.
*Top 4 racers score for team points. Teams with less than 4 racers will not be
eligible for team championship. 6 skiers displace for team scoring.
Skimeisters: In order to be eligible for Skimeister, competitors are required to have participated in a
minimum of 2 Nordic and 2 Alpine races during the regular season.
*Please email John Weston directly with the names of your skimeisters or ‘Skimeister Only’ racers.
Skimeister Only listing: Additional qualifying Skimeisters, that are not part of a team’s top 8 seeds,
may be entered in the state meet as a ‘Skimeister Only’. Please list these racers at the end of your order.
This means a school may have more than 8 racers entered, however, any racer listed as Skimeister Only
is not eligible to score team points.
Classic Technique Control: There will be no “official” technique controllers assigned to the course.
Tracks will be set on the course where classic techniques should be used. On corners where there is no
track, turning techniques (skate steps) are allowed. Any official team coach is considered qualified to
act as a controller and can report violations, though a disqualification would be rare.
Bibs: Bibs will be reassigned and redistributed before the classic race.
Race Volunteers: League rules have traditionally stated that each school is required to provide one
volunteer for each race (this can be the same person).
*As I have done in the past: I would like to work a trade. Schools won’t have to provide any
volunteers in trade if there is a medical contact person/parent that will be at the race anyway that could
help respond to an injury, if needed. I would just ask to meet this person before the race, be given their
cell phone number, and ask that they be accessible from the stadium area during the races. Thank you.
Cost: $8.00 per skier, per race. Payable to: Weston’s Farm LLC
Results: Running Orders and Results will be emailed to each coach. Printed sets of results will be
available upon request only (too many go uncollected to just print one for each school).
Parking: Team buses will be given priority in the innermost lots at the trail head. All other
vehicles will be parked in succession around the outskirts. Supplies can be dropped off near the
trail head but vehicles must then move to the outside parking areas. It is a short
walk to the trail head. See Map.
Facilities: *There is no lodge or shelter at Stark’s Hill. Your team bus or vehicles will
serve as your shelter, please plan accordingly.
*Porta-potties are available at the Trail Head.
*There is no electricity available.
*Cell service is very good.
Course Map: See Map.
Directions: See Map.
