MISSION STATEMENT
On February 7th, a delegation from the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii will
be heading to the Philippines for its annual trade mission project. The group will be
headed by FCCH President Paul Alimbuyao, Hawaii Lt. Governor Shan Tsutsui, and
Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin.
Provides leadership in promoting Hawaii’s business community through its programs and
activities by:
As espoused by FCCH leadership team, the goals of the trade mission are to:

Broadening opportunities for
Filipino entrepreneurs and
member businesses,

Strengthening business links
between Hawaii and the
Philippines, and

Assisting in the professional
growth of its members.




Increase business activity by promoting Hawaii and the Philippines as investment
and tourism destinations,
Encourage trade and economic activities across the Pacific region,
Strengthen business links between Hawaii and the Philippines, and
Promote goodwill and exchange of ideas.
Indeed, trade missions remain an important exercise to advocate for strengthened partnerships between the State of Hawaii and sister cities in the Philippines through information, culture, and trading exchanges.
As a Filipino US immigrant, born and raised in Manila, I believe in the importance of
educating Filipino-Americans on the culture, traditions, and customs in the Philippines—as they weave the fabric of our identity. But more importantly, as Filipino Immigrants, I believe that we should remain indubitable ambassadors of the Philippines speaking for and promoting the goodness, richness, and uniqueness of our Country, our
heritage, and our Filipino people.
As a member of the FCCH ‘ohana, I applaud the efforts of the FCCH Executive Leadership team for its dedication in imbibing this message through programs such as the
trade mission. It remains our hope that these programs would encourage young Filipino
-Americans to take a more active role and participation in building our community with pride and honour.
Let us pray for the delegates of the 25th Annual Trade Mission to the Philippines, that
they may successfully accomplish their pursuit towards the advancement of our institution and our people. And may the good Lord keep them safe and bless them throughout
their journey.
