Robust and efficient, the Tungsten Nozzle is available in
both long venturi nozzle format with coarse 50mm
threaded aluminium casing. Fine thread also available.
Airblast offers a full range of short straight nozzles for small
diameter hoses used in cabinets or portables. Available with
tungsten or boron carbide liners with aluminium cases and
fine or large threads. Internal diameters of 1/8” to 1/2” ensure
you have the nozzle to suit your particular application.

benefits of abrasive blast cleaning. Ideal where grit and
dust must be totally contained. Only 3kgs, with a 360°
swivelling blast head and supplied with six different

problems including masking threads, glass, finished

THE PORTABLE BLAST MACHINE
SPECIAL OFFER BLAST SYSTEM DEALS
The Ergotech range of portable blast machines combing high
standards of manufacture and component quality with an
emphasis on ergonomic design. Available in 200 (formerly
2452 type), 110 (formerly 2040 type) and 60 litre (formerly
1440 type) machines, these have all the valve combinations
of our previous range. They are configured differently with
exposed pipework and valves now enclosed within the two
rail type handles, so immediate protection is offered to
them. Also, the design of the rails themselves offer far more
than a standard handle, with ease the machines may be
rolled from the upright position to a horizontal position for
transport, storage etc. The front leg has also been utilised
for all air connections whilst also offering an understorage
compartment for small tools, pressure test certificates etc.

tested to 15 bar (225 psi) giving a safe working pressure

Piping: On all machines is 1 1/4", with long-life rubber lined
parts fitted where necessary (except the 1028 type which

Pop-up Valve: Free moving, heavy duty; giving instant

GLASS BEAD
Produced from soda-lime, glass beads are used for peening and
the removal of almost any surface blemish. They can be used
safely for texturing or producing attractive cosmetic finishes,
without damaging the base material. Being totally inert, there
is no risk of corrosion or any contamination. Unless excessive
blasting occurs there is no alteration in the dimensions of the
treated surfaces. Strict control of both manufacturing and
grading processes ensure consistency of finish.

ALUMINIUM OXIDE
Virgin Brown Aluminium Oxide is a sharp, fast-working abrasive
ideally suited for hand cabinets and blast rooms. Used wet
or dry, where ferrous blasting abrasives are not suitable due
to the risks of corrosion and magnetisation involved. Ideal for
extremely hard workpieces. Reclaimed aluminium oxide is a
cheaper alternative to virgin brown but not as cost effective,
due to increased breakdown when blasting at high pressures.
White and pink aluminium oxide also available.

Made from high carbon, tempered steel providing durability and resistance to fracture. Used for
peening and cleaning. Typical applications include metal improvement, stress relief, removal of
heat treatment residue, mill scale, rust, paint and sand from castings.
Steel GRIT
Cleans quicker than shot but breaks down at a faster rate. Steel shot or grits are not suitable
for certain applications and surface corrosion may occur after treatment. Immediate coating or
temporary protection is essential. Metallic abrasives are available in three different types with
suitability depending on application.

White iron structure which shatters on impact. Harder than steel with a quicker cleaning action.
For use in air driven machines to compliment their speed and flexibility. The grits are frequently
used to etch structural steel and components prior to coating with paint, metal spray or plastics.

Garnet is dense, tough and dust free for fast cleaning and
coating removal. Particularly suitable where material can be

The RH%–Dewpoint Meter allows you to
determine the relative humidity, dew point
and air temperature before the application
of a coating.
Specifications usually detail that the relative
humidity and the dew point temperature must
be strictly adhered to as well as monitoring the
surface temperature. Measurement accuracy of
±2% conforms to BS, ISO, DIN, ASTM and SSPC

Description
The Pintech is a multi-voltage pinhole detector which uses
the wet sponge principle to detect through pinholes, cracks
and damaged areas in coatings up to a maximum thickness
of 500 microns.
Operation is by the application of the wet sponge to the
coating. The wetting agent penetrates any pinhole and makes
a conductive path through to the substrate. The Pintech
automatically detects this conductive path and sounds an
audible alarm and also gives a visual warning by a flashing red
LED that a pinhole fault has been detected. The flaw can now
be marked for repair and further testing resumed.

this new evolution of the RAC tip range is compatible with
the RAC 4 tip holder.
The Titan SC6 tip range, successor to the SC5, is a self
cleaning reversible flow tip with a size range 0.007 to
0.042. The posi-lock feature ensures that the tip is in
either the spray or reverse position. Only 3 parts with
1 multi purpose seal saves time and money. hand tight
safety guard which can be installed without tools. Suitable
for working pressures up to 5000psi (350 bar).
