Middle School Prep offers an enriching five week academic, cultural and social summer program
experience for qualified post- fifth and sixth grade students. Students take accelerated classes
in math, technology, social studies, science and English language arts and build on important
foundational skills such as time management and organizational skills. Middle School Prep Summer
participants are then invited to apply for Middle School Prep Year-round, a 26-week enrichment
opportunity during the academic school year.
Middle school is a pivotal period in a student’s development, and this program prepares students
to excel in school and exposes them to the resources of Buffalo Prep and other educational
opportunities. Middle School Prep utilizes highly skilled, motivated instructors who teach in both
public and private schools during the academic year. It also features an on-site program director,
Buffalo Board of Education Food Program, field trips, and much more!

What is Buffalo Prep?
Buffalo Prep is a not-for-profit organization that prepares
promising, economically disadvantaged underrepresented
students for success in college preparatory high schools
and higher education. For 25 years, Buffalo Prep has been
preparing bright students for academic success in middle
school, high school, college, and beyond by providing high
quality academic enrichment programs and scholarship
opportunities.
What is High School Prep? (Current 7th graders)
High School Prep is a nationally recognized 14 month program that prepares bright, motivated
students to enter one of our 19 partner private, independent, or public college preparatory high
schools. Students who complete the program may have the opportunity to receive scholarships to
outstanding high schools where they will be extremely successful and well-prepared to go on to the
college of their dreams!
Students start the program the summer after their 7th grade year and engage in an intensive
academic program that includes accelerated classes in math, science, technology, global studies and
English. High School Prep staff work closely with students and their families to facilitate the high
school admissions process and find the best fit for each student. High School Prep graduates are
then automatically enrolled in College Prep, which provides academic and social support throughout
high school.
