10. The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden.
11. Best Puppy in Show: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that
dogs must be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only unbeaten
dogs are eligible to compete in the group or best in competitions are suspended.
Where a Best Puppy in Show competition is scheduled the Best Puppy in Show is a puppy which has competed and is unbeaten by any other
puppy exhibited at the same show. A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show. Where
the Best of Breed, Best in Group or Best in Show is a puppy it will automatically be Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy
in Show respectively. Similarly, if the Reserve Best of Breed, Reserve Best of Group or Reserve Best in Show is a puppy which has only been
beaten by an adult dog it will also automatically be Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively. Consequently,
selection of Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show must follow the selection of Best of Breed, Best in Group and
Best in Show respectively.
a. Show Judged on the Group System:
1) Best Puppy in Group and subsequent Group placings must be selected from puppies which have been judged and which are
unbeaten by any other puppy.
2) Best Puppy in Show must be selected from the Best Puppy in Group winners provided they are unbeaten by any other puppy.
b. Withdrawal from other Competition: Puppies which become eligible for Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show maybe withdrawn from
all other competition, other than Breed Classes and Best Puppy in Breed, prior to the competition for Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy
in Show in order to remain unbeaten. A puppy beaten in competition for Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show may subsequently
be exhibited in all competition for which it was previously eligible. The dog declared Best Puppy in Show, however, must not compete in any
subsequent competition. Puppies may be withdrawn from Any Variety (AV) Classes when judged before Breed Classes.
c. Proviso: For the purpose of this Regulation, dogs beaten in competition for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team or a Special
Award confined to one breed will not be considered to be a beaten dog.
12. Best in Show: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that dogs must
be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only unbeaten dogs are
eligible to compete in the group or best in competitions are suspended.
The dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and is unbeaten by any other dog exhibited at the same Show.
a. Shows Judged on the Group System: (Definition: Shows judged on the Group System includes classes for breeds within more than one
group, as defined in Kennel Club Regulation B(A); and require a judge to declare a best of each group after which the exhibits so declared
will compete for the award of Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show.)
1) Best of Breed: Where a breed is separately classified a Best of Breed may be declared from those exhibits which have received a first
prize in a breed class at the show. Where separate classes are provided for each sex of a breed a Best of each Sex must be declared.
2) Best of Group: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that dogs must
be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only unbeaten dogs are eligible
to compete in the group or best in competitions are suspended.
Best of group and subsequent placings must be selected from: a) The Best of Breed winners in each group provided that they are unbeaten winning dogs.
b) The best unbeaten winning dog from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each group or on each day.
3) Best in Show: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that dogs must
be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only unbeaten dogs are eligible
to compete in the group or best in competitions are suspended.
Best in Show must be selected from the Best of Group winners provided they are unbeaten. Reserve Best in Show must be selected
from the remaining Group winners following the selection for Best in Show.
b. Withdrawal from other Competition: Dogs which become eligible for Best of Group and Best in Show maybe withdrawn from all other
competition other than breed classes and Best of Breed prior to the competition for Best of Group or Best in Show as appropriate in order
to remain unbeaten. A dog beaten in competition for Best in Group or Best in Show may subsequently be exhibited in all competition for
which it was previously eligible. The dogs declared Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show however, must not compete in any subsequent
competition. Dogs may be withdrawn from AV Classes when judged before Breed Classes.
c. Proviso: For the purposes of this Regulation, dogs beaten in competition for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team or a Special
Award confined to a single breed, will not be considered to be beaten dogs.
13. Exhibits will not be admitted to Group or Best in Show competition after a period of ten minutes has elapsed since the announcement that exhibits
are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging not being completed on time, and then only with the
special permission of the Show Management.
14. No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the General Committee of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by
advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.
15. All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F (Annex B) - Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition.
16. All dogs resident outside of the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the show/event can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor.
17. Dogs in Cars on Hot Days. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help
guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events.
• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to
avoid increased time in traffic jams.
• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.
• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink.
• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.
• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.
• Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog
stays well hydrated.
• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time.
Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your
dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT
LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to
ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise.
Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules
and Regulations. Exhibitors/Competitors are reminded that show societies have the right under Kennel Club Regulation to refuse any entry.
18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club
registered.
19. The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is requested to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s) at
any Kennel Club licensed event within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including car and caravan parks and approaches.
Adequate receptacles for the disposal of such fouling will be provided.
20. The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog at Kennel Club licensed events must at all times ensure that the dog is kept
under proper control whilst at the licensed venue, including its environs, car and caravan parks and approaches. This Regulation applies before
(at any time during the set up period at the venue), during the event and afterwards (at any time during the breakdown of the event).
21. The committee will not be responsible for the loss, detention of, or damage to any dog or other property whether arising from accident, or other
cause whatever, or from any act of omission of itself, its officers, agents, servants or other, or damage done by the exhibits to any person or
property.
22. If, in the opinion of the Secretary, Show Manager or any judge, any dog is considered not in a fit state for exhibition owing to disease, savage
disposition or any other cause, the dog may be excluded or removed from the show on the instruction of the Show Management. If such exclusion
takes place either before or after the dog is judged the entry fee will be forfeited
23. The Show will be held under Kennel Club Limited Rules & Regulations. All exhibits must be registered at the Kennel Club in the name of the
exhibitor
24. Entry fees must be forwarded to Fosse Data with the entry form on or before, Friday, 12th June 2015 (postmark) or entries will not be accepted.
Online entries can be made up until midnight on Friday, 19th June 2015.
25. Abandonment of Show: In the event of abandonment of the Show through circumstances beyond the control of the Committee, expenses may
be defrayed from entry fees to cover the cost of the Show preparation.

DOGS IN HOT CARS ESCALATION PROCEDURE
1. The Show Society must appoint a responsible person who along with the Show Vet should manage
the proper response to reports of a dog found in a distressed condition in a vehicle.
2. Once a report has been received from the Car Park Marshalls, a tannoy announcement must be made
giving as much details of the dog involved, its breed, the vehicle make and registration number, and
name of the owner if possible. A time limit should be given before further action is taken.
3. If time allows a show official should be dispatched to the show ring for the breed to make an
annoucement.
4. At the same time as the above two actions, the responsible person should attend the vehicle.
5. If a police officer or RSPCA official is on site it is preferable that he/she is in attendance at the vehicle.
6. If no response has been received from the announcement within the time limit and if in the opinion
of the vet or responsible person the condition of the dog allows for a final call being made over the
tannoy then this should be done.
7. If there is no response and it is believed the dog should be removed from the vehicle for its immediate
protection then appropriate action should be taken.
8. It is recommended that there is more than one witness to this and that video and/or photographic
evidence should be taken.
9. Following removal of the dog, the vet's advice must be followed. In the event that there is no vet
in attendance the responsible person should take appropriate action to immediately lower the dog's
temperature and when it is considered appropriate the dog should be taken to the show's vet.
10. A full report and statements should be made covering the entire incident. The Kennel Club will require
such evidence to consider taking actions under its Rules and Regulations so that the dog owner(s) can
be asked to account for their actions.
