December General Meeting
Membership Renewal
While there was a good turnout for our Annual
Elections, all “winners” ran unopposed, so there
really wasn’t an “election”. Thanks to those who
ran for a position and an opportunity to serve the
club and its members.
There is still time to renew your membership for
2015. To remain an “active member” and ensure
uninterrupted Range Privileges,
your Membership Application must be post
marked no later than January 31st 2015.

2015 Spring Raffle
Camp Rushford
Tickets sales are going well and there are still
some available at the bar. As always, please fill
out the Ticket Sign-Out Sheet with your name
and phone number when you take tickets to sell.
It’s only January, but this is the time of year that
the DEC starts accepting registrations for their
summer camp programs.
Camp Rushford is an environmental camp run by
the New York State DEC that offers camp
sessions for boys and girls ages 11 to 13, and 14
to 17. They teach the principles of good wildlife
and environment management, and respect for
the laws of nature and the state, to protect the
same.
If you have ticket stubs and money for tickets
you’ve sold, we’d appreciate it if you could stop
by the club and turn them in.
MEC Reloader Raffle
There are still plenty of these tickets left. With the
holiday season approaching, a ticket or three at
$5 each would make the perfect gift. If you’ve
already bought one or two for yourself, think of
your friends and loved ones as well. Once all 250
tickets are sold, the drawing will be held.
Honor Flight
The CCOB board would like to remind members
that if you, or an immediate family member, are a
Veteran of WWII, or the Korean War, you are
eligible to be “sponsored” by the club and have
yours, or your Guardian’s air-fare paid for on an
Honor Flight trip. This is the Club’s way of saying
“Thank you” to our veterans.
If you or your family member are on the waiting
list for an Honor Flight trip, and would like the
Club to “sponsor” your Guardian, or you as a
Guardian, we ask that you submit a short
application letter giving some background about
your veteran and your relationship. Mail your
letter to:
CCOB Board of Directors
Attn: Honor Flight
291 LaDue Road
Brockport, NY 14420
Last year the club sponsored Mason Diedrick
and Tom Hayes sponsored Alexis Schlonski.
This year the club and Tom Hayes will each
sponsor one camper. There will be 7 one-week
sessions this summer starting on June 28th.
Detailed information about schedules, application
processes, etc., can be obtained from the DEC
website at:
www.dec.ny.gov/education/29.html
Space is limited, so if you think your child, or
grandchild would be interested in participating,
visit the website and be sure to let the Board of
Directors know.
Member Recognition
At the December General Meeting, several
people were thanked and commended for their
service and volunteerism to the Conservation
Club of Brockport. These people have provided,
and continue to provide valuable services to the
club without expectation of anything in return. If
you happen to see them, thank them. They’ve
been grouped into “categories” to save space,
but most of these people help out and volunteer
wherever they see a need, or an opportunity to
3
serve the club. If anyone was missed, it was
unintentional. In no special order…….
