Richard Allen Barker, Sr. of Campbell, TX, passed away in death at his home in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 15th, 2015 at 73 years of age. Richard was born on 2/25/1941 in Greenville, TX to Claude Owen Barker and Lilly Bea McWhorter Barker Jenkins, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived of by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Ann Harrison Barker. He is also survived by his children, Richard Barker Jr of Campbell, TX; Robert Barker of Tyler TX; and Jenesta Mixon of Mesquite TX; brothers and sisters and in-laws Ruby Sprinkles of Sherman, TX; Lucille Reaves of Garland, TX; Geraldine Zimmerman of Dallas, TX; Billy Barker of Forney, TX; Joy Robinson of Brady, TX; Michael and Lynda Barker of Mansfield, TX; Sandra and David Roberts of Greenville, TX; Debbie Barker of Grand Saline TX; Leo Mauldin of Greenville TX; Sarah and Mike Pierce of Grand Saline, TX; and Susan and Jack Haley of Amarillo, TX. Richard was raised in and around the Wolfe City and Greenville area. He spent time in various parts of the country including Nashville, Tennessee and Colorado Springs, Colorado and spent the last several decades in Campbell, Texas. He was widely known for his hard work and as a auto paint and body ex-pert. He worked for Joe Gibson auto dealership in Greenville TX for many years before his death. He was known as a kind, generous family man. He enjoyed the outdoors greatly and frequently spent time at state and national parks camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
