With over 80% of the school’s population attending this two day event, the goal of the students is to try to break last year’s record of raising over $583,000! The event has progressed from a small dance in the high school gym to an event that brings the entire community together. In its 37 year history, the Marathon Dance has raised over 4.22 MILLION DOLLARS for more than 321 beneficiaries not just within South Glens Falls, but many surrounding communities as well. After reviewing nearly 140 applications, the student committee has selected the following as beneficiaries of the 2015 Marathon Dance: Ashley Talbot Brian Bradley Christopher Johnston Craig Dickenson Danielle Darrow David Joseph Thompson Duane Hafley Eddie Ryan Emma North Family of Benjamin Simpson Family of Melvin Jacobie Family of Michael Thiel Helen Cordiale Jennifer Annis Kaitlyn Daniels Karen Rose Keyon Jace Marshall Leo Ross Maddison Lepine Marina Maldonado Mary Johnson Missy Howe Nora Johnston Rhonda Barnes Sandra Wilkins Stephen Farrell Suzanne Poudrier Timothy Breen Toni Lyng ALS Regional Center Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern NY Angel Names Association C.R.
