INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT LUXURY MASTER OF SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL LUXURY MANAGEMENT IFM developed the first management program specialized in fashion & luxury in 1986, and has trained over 1500 students who today occupy key roles in French and European fashion & luxury companies. At the request of these companies, IFM is launching a luxury management program with a specifically international orientation. The MSc Luxury is a one-year graduate program delivered in English. Its objective is to prepare a small group of selected students for careers in the international divisions of French and European luxury companies, at their global and regional headquarters, or national subsidiaries. This program draws upon IFM’s strength as a unique meeting place for the interaction between management & design. It gives students: - a strong foundation in management skills as applied specifically to the luxury sector – branding and communication, strategy and operations for international markets, with a particular emphasis on retail management. - a profound knowledge of creation: culture of fashion, design and luxury, understanding of the creative process, comprehension of the importance of quality and savoir-faire (know-how) in the luxury industry. Students will also develop the skills to understand “the French touch” – historical and contemporary references, tools to analyze Paris as a city of creativity and experimentation – and will learn French to facilitate communication and cultural understanding. Professional opportunities for graduates of this Program are primarily in roles related to international development, with an important strategic aspect as brand ambassadors. The roles are in functions such as wholesale and retail distribution, buying, marketing and communication, and merchandising. This Program has the active support of companies including Chanel, Christian Dior, Hermès, L’Oréal Luxury Products, Louis Vuitton… who participate in the program during candidate selection, during the academic courses, and in proposing internships.
