Introducing LOEL’s Newest Board Member…
Jaye Davis
I am 6th generation Lodi/Lockeford and was raised in the country right beside the Mokelumne
River. I am a graduate of Lodi High and from there, graduated from California State University
Fresno with a Master of Arts Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling way too many years ago. I
have been self-employed as a counselor, in a private practice since 1985 and practice throughout
California. I have a fantastic son, a beautiful daughter-in-law, a love-bug baby boy grandson and
another one on the way. I love my job and my family and friends mean the world to me. I am
looking forward to serving on the LOEL board and helping out where needed.

Free Book Discussion
Thursday, March 5th at 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
LOEL at the Square is offering a free book discussion brought to you by OLLI@Pacifice.
With Helen Gross, a Former Educator, as the speaker.
March, by Geraldine Brooks
March retells Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women from the point of view of Alcott’s
protagonists’ absent father. The classic tale has been inserted in the story revealing the events
surrounding March’s absence during the Civil War in 1862. This 2006 Pulitzer Prize novel, an
antidote to the "sugar filled" Little Women, is not a children’s story, but a hard look at slavery,
marriage, war and separation, courage vs. cowardice.
LOEL SENIOR CENTER STAFF: Tracy Williams, Marj Schrenk, Dellann (Dee) Beckley, Corinne Luna, Krista Peterson,
John Haviland, Daniel Flores, Karl Grosshans, Dale Jenkins, and Bob Gruwell
