This honour roll student has a
passion for helping others and
has dedicated hundreds of hours
to community service. Through
Jaskiran’s volunteer experiences at
the Black Foundation for Community
Networks, Woodbridge Fair and
other community organizations, she
has provided assistance to special
needs students, taught children to
read and helped seniors master the
use of computers. Jaskiran is also
a Volunteer Ambassador, and as
part of her training has organized
free kid-friendly arts & crafts
and sporting event programming
throughout Vaughan. As a natural
mentor, Jaskiran’s latest venture
is the launch of her own tutoring
business.

As a committed volunteer to City
of Vaughan community initiatives,
Vishesh has served as a Parks
Ambassador with the Parks &
Forestry Operations Department,
as well as a Leisure Buddy for the
Recreation & Culture Department’s
special needs program, Connect.
He is a valued volunteer at various
City events, where his welcoming
spirit has helped ensure a positive
experience for all guests. An active
member of various community
organizations including MADD
York Region, Wallace House and
Ontario Bioblitz at Kortright Centre
in partnership with McMichael
Art Gallery, Vishesh continues
to mentor and encourage youth
within the community to pursue
their dreams with tenacity and
positivity.
Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto
Dedicated to promoting an inclusive
environment for persons of all
abilities, Pamela has extensive
experience helping deliver special
needs recreation programs. As
a Leisure Buddy with the City’s
camps and Connect program,
she has helped enrich the lives of
persons with disabilities by leading
them in fun activities like bowling,
swimming and cooking. Pamela
also volunteers with Vaughan Public
Libraries, where she teaches children
how to read and promotes a love
of reading among youth through
the Reading Buddy program. Her
passion for volunteerism can also
be found in her school life, where
she participates in the national bible
contest and plays the flute in her
school band.

Andrew Testa
York University
Co-founder of the
Artists Guild, Vaughan artist
Andrew Testa has been an active cultural event community
volunteer for many years, serving
as a mentor for youth pursuing
a fine arts career. As a Vaughan
ALIVE! School Program workshop
facilitator, Andrew continues
to bring joy to students, raising
awareness of the arts scene and
supporting a positive interest in
arts and culture. Andrew’s artistic
accomplishments include mezzotint prints and drawings and
referencing source imagery from
early 1900s portrait photographs
- interpreting, translating and
bringing new life to each individual piece. His passion extends to
community projects aiding youth
in achieving subtlety, richness
and mastery in created artworks.
