the city council and city staff as we
continue to support growth and
entrepreneurship in our community.
January is also a time of renewed
commitment and new starts. I hope
that each of you renew your commitment
to the TACC through our committee
structure. We are a grass roots
committee-led organization. Our
committees are busy making plans
for the Perryman Economic Outlook
meeting, the Energy Summit and our
East Texas Coalition trip to Austin to
meet with our legislators. I hope each
of you finds a place of service that
will help you be a part of the growth
of our great community .
There will be two new avenues of
service in TACC for 2015. The first will
be our new committee to address the
needs of minority businesses. We are
gathering names and will announce
organizational meeting dates soon.
The second new avenue of service
will be our new entrepreneurship
task force championed by Mayor Martin
Heines. If you have a special interest in
either of these initiatives please contact
the Chamber offices for information.
There are so many places to serve in
the TACC. Early morning Small Business
breakfasts, noon committee meetings,
afternoon ribbon cuttings or business
after hours all provide so many ways
to promote your business and help
Tyler grow. I hope you will be a part
of this exciting 2015 chamber year.
