On a Canadian $2 bill, the flag flying over the Parliament building is an
American flag.
Our eyes are always the same size
from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.
Peanuts are one of the ingredients
of dynamite.
Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.
“Stewardesses” is the longest word
typed with only the left hand; “lollipop”
with your right.
The Bible does not say there were
three wise men; it only says there were
three gifts.
The cruise liner, QE2, moves only six
inches for each gallon of diesel that it
burns.
The microwave was invented after a
researcher walked by a radar tube and
a chocolate bar melted in his pocket.
There are 293 ways to make change
for a dollar.
There’s no Betty Rubble in the Flintstones Chewable Vitamins.
Tigers have striped skin, not just
striped fur.
“Typewriter” is the longest word that
can be made from only using the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Women blink nearly twice as much
as men.
Your stomach has to produce a new
layer of mucus every two weeks; otherwise it will digest itself.
Words like ‘racecar,’ ‘kayak,’ and
‘level’ are the same whether they are
read left to right or right to left and are
called “palindromes”.
As our new year begins you now
know more than before, but the only
thing that really matters is whether we
know Jesus Christ as our Savior. Pray
about those that you know who may
not know about God’s great gift of
new life that comes through accepting
Jesus as their Savior, and then seek
ways to share that good news with
them this year.

Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Monday Prayer Meeting
Mondays, 4:00 pm
117 Ivywood
In January of 2014, Wayside began a time of prayer on Mondays called Fresh
Wind, Fresh Fire. The name comes from Jim Cymbala’s book, “Fresh Wind,
Fresh Fire: What Happens When God’s Spirit Invades the Hearts of His People.”
This book shares the lessons Cymbala learned when God’s Spirit moved his
church, the Brooklyn Tabernacle, to a new commitment to pray.
We meet for prayer on Mondays in 117 Ivywood from 4:00 pm until whenever
you want to leave. It is also important to know that some people cannot
get there by 4:00 pm, but they come when they can. They are welcomed,
and they quickly join in praying. This is a very special time of worship and
openness before the Lord, and it is an amazing time of encouragement and
strengthening for all who attend.
While we are all very busy, please consider joining us whenever you can.
Once you come and spend that time in prayer and praise with others, you will
be drawn back again … and again. There is something very special about our
time together on Monday afternoons. God is doing a work in our hearts, and
we want to share this special time with each of you! You will walk away from
our time of prayer feeling humbled, encouraged, and strengthened.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray
and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Legacy Journey will teach
individuals and families how to live
and leave a legacy—one that will
bless their families, community and
the world for generations to come.
This exciting new class will address
questions like what does the Bible
really say about money? About wealth?
How much money makes you wealthy?
How much does God expect you to
give to others? How does wealth
affect your friendships, marriage and
children? How much is enough? How
should you invest for the future? How
do you ensure that your family is truly
secure?
The Legacy Journey is an allnew, seven-week class that meets
once a week for 90 minutes. It
incorporates small group discussions
and interactive class activities
to encourage accountability and
discipleship. This brand-new course
doesn’t replace Financial Peace
University (FPU); it builds on the
foundation for your money that
FPU provides. This is the class for
both FPU graduates and anyone
who wants a biblical framework for
dealing with money and wealth. You’ll
learn practical how-tos on investing
wisely, planning your estate, giving
generously, and building generational
wealth.

Men’s Summit 2015
Wayside men had an incredible weekend at Camp Eagle in Rock Springs,
Texas, the weekend of January 23 – 25. It was a time of challenging teaching
with guest speaker, Doug Mazza, as well as making new acquaintances
and deepening relationships. And it was a time of great fun as the men
participated in activities such as the “super swing”, rock climbing, rappelling,
skeet shooting, a rifle range and “grill your own steak” night!
“Camp in the City” is Pine Cove’s summer day camp! They are coming to
Wayside with all the fun activities, great staff, and life-changing ministry that
happen in a week of camp . . . A dynamic team of camp counselors will bring
fun camp activities along with amazing discipleship opportunities through
worship and Bible study.
Deposit of $100 is due at the time of registration. This amount is a nonrefundable, non-transferrable deposit that holds your spot. For information
about payment plans, etc., call Pine Cove at 877-474-6326. Questions about

ECHO STUDENT MINISTRY:
SPRING BREAK 2015
Worth It!
Church exists for worship, but also for community.
The nursery supports that sense of community by
providing parents time to fellowship and study. Our
nursery volunteers can be that reassuring face that
allows a new family to visit Wayside for the first time or
an unbelieving parent a chance to hear the Gospel in
a fresh way. We have helpers in the nursery that calm
the hearts of sweet, young parents so they can go hear
God’s Word on Sunday morning. Nursery volunteers give
their time to make our ABFs and other Sunday morning
classes possible, and we are so grateful for each and
every one of them! What is one or two hours a month
compared to all of eternity? Knowing that someone
may have met a new friend or even came to the saving
knowledge of Christ makes it all worth it!
Thank you to all the amazing servants who support
such an important ministry!
