Welcome to the Northeast Oklahoma Poultry Show…
This show has been run by Kenneth Kvittum the last several years. As most of you know Kenneth has decided to pursue other
hobbies and has decided to turn this show over to another group interested in continuing the tradition of a Poultry show in Pryor, OK.
I was approached by several individuals about taking on this adventure. As FFA Advisor of the Salina Chapter, I have several
students that have Poultry as an SAE. Poultry SAE’s are still affordable for students to get interested in and to learn about a thriving
sector of the agricultural industry. I made the commitment and decided that Salina FFA would host the Northeast Oklahoma Poultry
Show. Our hope is to keep the integrity of the old show and hopefully adding valuable opportunities to the show. It is our intent to
make this show, a show we can all be proud to say we are a part of here in Northeast Oklahoma. We welcome all exhibitors to our
show and hope you will put us on your annual show calendar.
This is our first endeavor to run a poultry show of this size and we will strive to provide a high quality event for you to participate in.
We encourage you for your comments and suggestions during and after the show so we can continue to grow and improve with each
show. If interest is shown we will consider hosting a show in the fall season as well.
We have been approached by many people to make the show include Large fowl and Waterfowl. We have decided to make this
addition as well as make the show a Double show. We will also have a separate Junior Show with Showmanship.
Thank you for your interest in our show and please spread the word and share this information with your friends so we can make this
show an overwhelming success.
