Dear IBF Luxembourg members and guests
We are pleased to invite you to the first IBF conference in 2015.
Solvency II rules enter into force on 1 January 2016 and will create common solvency requirements
for insurers while at the same time underpinning a consistent solvency supervisory system across all
EU member states.
As the insurance industry is a massive player in the financial market, accounting for an estimated
42% of the European assets under management, Solvency II regulations, even if not apparently
applicable directly to the banking and funds sectors, will in fact impact heavily on asset managers
and asset servicers.
Thierry Flamand, Partner and Insurance Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg, will present the main
impacts of Solvency II regulations on the asset management and asset servicing industries.

Thiery Flamand has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. His key areas of experience are
Life Individual/Group Insurance, Merger & Acquisition for Insurance Industry, Risk Management for
Insurance Industry, Pension Fund.
He has acquired a sound experience in the Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Industries with a
broad range of assignments through his previous positions within consulting firms and Insurance
Undertakings. Due to his localization in Luxembourg, Thierry is used to deal with several foreign
practices and regulations.
