If your attire is insufficient for the weather; the van driver will require you to obtain the necessary gear before transporting. The winter time in Fairbanks can be quite severe therefore it is imperative for everyone to be prepared at all times. Please don’t forget you boots, hat, mittens, warm coat and your house key when preparing for a ride with Parks & Recreation. The cold weather policy remains that –30degrees below zero no Parks & Recreation transportation and –20 degrees below zero the van lift will not be utilized. The cold weather number is 458-3745, 1113, which is called 2 hours prior to pick up times and at this time transporting of participants will be determined.
