Enabling everyone to learn all along life what is necessary for them.
This great idea, is a condition for equity, peace and progress. However,
reality falls somewhat short of this ideal. Where do the gaps come from?
What are the obstacles and the success factors? What are the prerequisites?
What are the key drivers? Who can do what for whom? What are the
great paths to be explored to combine experiences and thinking? Invigorate
our actions towards a shared objective, in the joyful union of our
complementarities.
Four international roundtables will provide answers to these questions:
• Ensuring access and achievement conditions to basic knowledge from early
childhood until the end of life for everyone
• Acting, educating and training for sustainable health
• Acknowledge and develop the role of companies in lifelong learning
• Appreciate and enable intercultural skills to emerge

ACTING, EDUCATING AND TRAINING FOR A SUSTAINABLE HEALTH
• Learning for life
What kind of education for all to allow each individual to feel responsible and learn how to build his own physical, cultural and
spiritual well-being? To what extend? And how can a school heighten awareness about health among children from an earlier age?
So, how far have we come, in terms of learning approaches in health education, whether specific or comprehensive?
• Girl’s education: a true emergency
Why? What to do? How can cross-cultural comparisons enlighten us on that?
• How to overcome the failure of sexuality education? Challenges and successful methods
Adults feel uncomfortable discussing sexuality with young people. Teachers are often not in the position to share with
the adolescent’s interests. The young people often have nobody who they can ask intimate questions. Is school the right place to
discuss these issues? What are the successful approaches to sexuality education around the world?

WORLD COMMITTEE FOR LIFELONG LEARNING
We are professionals, education and training practitioners,
multidisciplinary experts, head of companies, researchers,
academics, teachers, trainers, elected officials, educators,
from all the countries and various sectors of the civil
society, educational, economic, voluntary and
administrative sectors. So we decided to work together
and create an international non-governmental
organization with UNESCO. Some of us already have a
long-standing experience in the initial and continuous
training, particularly, in developing countries.
What we have in common here is our strong will to
contribute to the harmonious development of the field of
lifelong learning.
Our goal is to mobilize, without pre-conceptions, all
skills at the worldwide level. This international collective
expertise allows us to take action more effectively,
with the civil, administrative, academic, economic
and political authorities.

ICAE promotes lifelong learning as a necessary
component for people to contribute creatively to their
communities and live in independent and democratic
societies.
Adult and lifelong learning are deeply linked to
social, economic and political justice; equality of
gender relations; the universal right to learn; living
in harmony with the environment; respect for human
rights and recognition of cultural diversity,
peace and the active involvement of women and
