Don’t be afraid of the 750s! Although 750ml is the standard size for a bottle of wine, it is only

of beer. Perfect for splitting with a friend or for a very thirsty beer lover!

9
A renowned grapes broker in
Champagne since 1968, Alain
Thienot began his journey as
the founder of Champagne
Thienot in 1985, becoming
the youngest house in
Champagne. With a keen
passion for both quality and
family, Alain brought into the
family business his son
Stanislaus and daughter
Garance in 2003 as
Marketing Manager and
Marketing Director
respectively. Thienot is
praised for its uniquely full
bodied and fruitfull wines
produced from mostly family
owned vineyards, and in 2013
was featured as the official
Champagne served at the pre
show and Governors Ball at
the 85th Oscars Ceremony in
Hollywood.

Australia’s Best Chardonnay
Founded in 1969 by Denis and Tricia Horgan, the estate was previously an old cattle Ranch.
In 1972 Robert Mondavi was brought on board as a consultant for the emerging winery,
helping to lay out the foundations for what would become one of the best wineries of the
Margaret River. The Art Series Chardonnay is frequently regarded as the best Chardonnay of
Australia, with the 1980 vintage being declared as the “Best Chardonnay in the world” by
Decanter Magazine in 1982.

The White Wines Of Alsace
Alsace is a unique little bubble on the border of Western Germany and isolated from the rest of
France by the Vosges Mountains. Lost in time and almost translation, a unique language that
is a mix of French and German is spoken by its small population. The grapes of the Grand Crus
of Alsace are only allowed Grand Cru status if they are planted to the four noble grapes of
Alsace: Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, and Gewurztraminer, with the only exception in history
being the powerful Sylvaner growing in Zotzenberg.

*Albert Boxler
The Boxler family,
originally from
Switzerland, has been
producing wine in Alsace
since the 15th century.
However, it wasn’t until
1946 when descendant
Albert Boxler, then living
in the state of Montana,
returned home to his
family domain during
World War II to help save
his family’s domain.
Upon returning home he
united the family brand
for the first time bottled
at the winery and under
its own family label, the
same label used today
drawn by Albert’s cousin
in 1946.

*The Mineral Water of Carbonnieux
In Continuous production since the 12th century, Carbonnieux was once produced by
Benedictine monks of Saine-Croixe, who according to legend sold this white elixir as
“Mineral Water of Carbonnieux” to the Sultan of Turky, effectively bypassing the prohibition
of alcohol. The Sultan apparently loved the “mineral water” exclaiming; “if the French
mineral waters are so good, why do they bother to make wine?”

*Les Chaillees de L’enfer
Literal translation: The Terraces of Hell. The name for this stone wall enclosed, South
facing vineyard came about in a time long since passed, when travelers and vineyard
workers sweltering underneath the sun could be heard saying “on est a l’enfer,” or rather
“we are in hell.” Full bodied, luscious, and masculine, many great Condrieu must bow down
to this wine.
