a Green Deal plan in E&W has been published. The document covers GD Plan process from NEW to LIVE
plan status from GDP perspective.
The document is available in the GD ORB members’ area and GDFC members’ area.

GREEN DEAL IMPROVEMENT PACKAGE (GDIP) TOOL ANNOUNCEMENT
A reminder to all that, as mentioned in the previous bulletin circulated on 16th December 2014, the plan is for
all the GDAs/ GDPs to switch to the commercial GDIP tools offered by independent software vendors by
February end and then turn off the DECC sponsored tool.
As part of the GD IT systems changes on 7th December 2014, other commercial GDIP Tools offered by
independent software vendors have been introduced in the market in addition to the DECC sponsored GDSAP
tool.
Green Deal authorised participants can now register for one of the newly offered GDIP tools available in the
market. The list of approved GDIP Tools is available at:

3.
GDCC ACCESS AGREEMENT
The new version of the GDCC Access Agreement was circulated to all relevant stakeholders in December
2014. If the new GDCC Access Agreement is not signed before the expiry of the existing GDCC Access
Agreement then access to GDCC will be revoked impacting the ability to process GD Plans.
Please ensure that you send back the signed copy of the new GDCC Access Agreement if you wish to continue
to use GDCC.
4.
GDSAP TOOL RELEASE
There is a new release of the DECC sponsored GDSAP tool which goes live in early February 2015. The main
featured change in the tool is that it will now allow lodgements of GDIPs in Scotland for EPC’s lodged prior to
the 7th of December 2014. This issue was highlighted in the bulletin issued on 9th of December 2014.
5.
SOLID WALL INSULATION MEASURE DISPLAY ON THE GREEN DEAL ADVICE
REPORT (GDAR)
Following the RdSAP9.92 release (on 7th December 2014) assessors can no longer specify on the GDAR
whether Solid Wall Insulation is to be installed externally or internally (i.e. they cannot select the wall insulation
location for measures Q&Q1), This change was made to allow a later decision to be made on the choice of
internal or external SWI to be reflected in a GDIP Report.
The default value agreed for the Wall-Insulation-Location is now ‘External Wall Insulation’. Hence the GDAR
PDF correctly displays ‘external wall insulation’ when the measures Q and/ or Q1 are recommended by the
assessor.
If an assessor wishes to change the insulation recommendation i.e. from external to internal then they can do
so by specifying this within a GDIP report.
All the Certification Bodies and software providers are aware of this.
6.
