Abstracts at CROPS 2015 – DEADLINE FOR

Abstracts at CROPS 2015 – DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION – April 1, 2015 Don’t miss this opportunity to share important new knowledge with your colleagues, furthering the field of genomics as applied to crop development, while increasing your visibility as a participating member of the scientific community. Accepted presenters’ abstracts will be given space in our Crops poster sessions and specific abstracts will be selected for available slots on speaker panels and presentations. Poster Session Policies Rules and Guidelines Abstracts should contain only new, unpublished material and must be submitted by the abstract deadline of April 1, 2015. The organizers will make selection of material for oral and poster presentation. Abstracts will be selected on the basis of relevance to the conference topic and on scientific merit. The submitting author is automatically designated as the first author. You may be the first author of more than one abstract. Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author to present it if accepted. Failure to present, if not justified, may jeopardize future acceptance of abstracts. The author/presenter bears responsibility for all expenses associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract. Authors should prepare and proofread their abstracts carefully prior to submission. Errors made on submitted abstracts may possibly appear in print. The content of the presentation and reference materials are the responsibility of the authors. A commercial supporter may help prepare the presentation, but they should not be biased to advance their own proprietary interest. Presenters will be assigned a designated time during a 30 -‐ minute break period to talk about their poster. This time may be shared with other authors that will be presenting their poster. Recording any presentation or session (oral or poster) by any means, (photography, audio taping, and videotaping) is prohibited except by a HudsonAlpha or The University of Georgia authorized agent for official purposes or by first authors who wish to photograph their own poster presentations. Submission Instructions Abstracts should be no more than 500 words including the title and authors. Send your abstract submission to Deborah Powell [email protected]. All abstracts must be received no later than Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 12:00 pm (noon) CST. Fax and/or hard copy (paper) are not accepted. There is no additional charge to submit an abstract. Edits/Withdrawals To edit or withdraw your abstract, please contact Deborah Powell at [email protected] no later than Monday, April 20, 2015. Acceptance You will be notified via email by Monday, April 13, 2015 if your abstract is accepted for a poster session presentation. Those abstracts being accepted for additional speaker slots will also be notified by Monday, April 13, 2015. HudsonAlpha and The University of Georgia reserve the right to reject or alter abstracts based on, but not limited to, the following criteria: -‐ Abstracts do not comply with style guidelines, including excessive length -‐ Abstracts contain inappropriate content -‐ Abstracts fall outside of the topical scope of the meeting For questions regarding submitting your abstract please contact Deborah Powell [email protected] or call 256.327.5218.
