Depict what “Service Above Self” means to you
The best poster will be on display at Rotary District 7410’s Conference in April
which will be held at Skytop Lodge in the Poconos. The student will be
recognized at the banquet on April 25, 2015

2015 Poster Contest
Theme: “Service Above Self”
Eligibility: Contest is open to all 11th grade students. Students may
enter both the Essay and the Poster Contest sponsored by Rotary
District 7410.
Poster requirements: Must be student’s original artwork (no copyrighted characters
or clipart).
Size: Minimum 8 1/2” x 11”
Maximum. 12” x 18”
Student name, School Name and Teacher Name should be written on back of poster.
Each poster must have the release form attached to the back of the poster.
All entries become the property of Rotary District 7410 and will not be returned.
Contest runs from Dec 8 – Feb 8, 2015.
Feb 8 – Feb 23:
Teachers collect posters and submit to club representative.
Feb. 24 - Mar 10: Clubs select poster winner.
Mar. 10:
Clubs forward winning poster to District Chair – PDG Budd O’Malia
Mar. 23:
District Committee selects poster winner and notifies Rotary Club
April 1-15:
District prize winners are awarded at the host club’s meeting by
District Chair and/or District Governor. Clubs should at this time honor their winner
regardless if he/she were District winner or not.
April 25:
Prize winner is recognized and poster is on display at Rotary District
7410 Conference at Skytop Lodge in the Poconos.

Thank you!
This contest is sponsored by the 43 Rotary Clubs of District 7410 of Rotary International;
the world’s oldest and largest service organization with 1.2 million Rotarians in 34,000
clubs in 200 countries.
This contest is a District-wide event covering ten counties and providing your students an
opportunity to earn the prize of $300 for creating a poster depicting what “Service Above
Self “ means to them. The winner’s classroom will also receive a pizza party. We hope that
this will
inspire more students to enter. More information is available at:

You may make this contest a curriculum event that is graded before submission to the host
club. This is obviously and clearly up to you alone, but we do ask that if you choose to
grade the posters, that the original submissions are sent in according to the schedule.
