What is
Andalucia
Smart City?
Andalucia Smart City Cluster, an Association of
Innovative Enterprises (AIE), is an alliance of private
businesses and institutions from the region of Andalusia
in Spain. Our work revolves around the development
of smart cities by means of making them efficient,
sustainable and comfortable and ultimately better.
This is achieved by enabling cooperation among our
members and improving competitiveness, thus creating
wealth and jobs in those cities.
Andalucia Smart City Cluster acquired the condition of
innovative business cluster granted by the Ministry of
Industry, Energy and Tourism of Spain in May, 2015.

Our Goals
To create Smart Cities:
sustainable, efficient
and comfortable
To generate wealth
and jobs in the
cities
Andalucía Smart City enables the
creation and transformation of cities
into smart cities, as per their degree
of environmental sustainability, their
efficient use of resources and the
comfort and quality of life of their
dwellers. For this purpose, any urban
area is considered a city, regardless of
its size.
Andalucía Smart City facilitates the
creation of jobs and generation
of wealth by means of accessing
specific funds for smart city
projects, improving business
competitiveness, promoting business
opportunities among its members,
creating new markets, products
and services, making it possible to
take developments and solutions
anywhere in the world, broadening
markets and possibilities for
international expansion.
To base action on
R&D
Andalucía Smart City helps the
research and development of
new technologies, products and
services, connecting the sources of
knowledge from universities and R&D
departments with the market, driving
innovation from Andalusia to the
world.
-6-
To cooperate among
sectors
Andalucía Smart City connects
businesses and institutions
from diverse sectors –energy,
