Each will be encouraged to reflect on the readings/resources to reflect on current experience and growth opportunities to broaden their outlook prior to meeting for the Online Classroom (Skype). The focus on collaborative learning requires that everyone actively participates. Individuals will be expected to critically analyze issues originating from the direct prompts, curriculum, online video resources, readings, and contributions from other learners. Design is to ‘assign’ the prompt during the previous onsite session or online classroom (skype) sessions and allow the participant to apply the learning and reflect by the following Monday in the online discussion group to prep for the online classroom (Skype) discussions. Critical thinking, questioning, expand current understanding, and sharing of best practices are defined outcomes. Online Classroom (Skype): (roughly 9 hour commitment – 3 hour online; 6 hours throughout the 10 days in application, including meeting with mentor) Participants will be presented a curriculum specific topic live via onsite learning or an online classroom environment (Skype) and will be engaged virtually with classmates in discussion and active participation during group meeting times (8:30 am or 1 pm CST)on the designated dates. Participants will continue the learning through the week in application and respond in the online discussion with colleagues around the curriculum area presented for the 10 work days after thoughtful application and discussion within their organization.
