Kate: My reading selection was slim pickin's during my semester in Rome, and the version of
this book I read had a creepy picture of a ventriloquist's dummy on the cover and a fairly cheesy
writeup on the back, which my friend Chris read aloud until I was pretty much on the floor
laughing. I think both of us read this book. It wasn't half bad, but Wow! The movie IS bad. Even
Anthony Hopkins couldn't save that one. The climax is killer.

bastante dura encuentra en su marioneta fat el símbolo de su éxito como mago y comediante,
las cosas en su vida empiezan a salir bien, con un jugoso contrato para televisión de por
medio, hasta que los angeles relación de Corky con su muñeco empieza a traerle a él
consecuencias muy graves.El libro está dividido en tres partes, los angeles primera narra de
manera muy confusa los angeles relación de Croky con Fats, y su deterioro psicologico, los
angeles segunda muestra los angeles niñez de Corky su relación con su padre y el
enamoramiento con una compañera del instituto, y l. a. tercera y l. a. parte más eficaz en donde
se esclarece l. a. relación enfermiza de Corky con su muñeco en donde nos queda claro quien
tiene el regulate sobre quien, esta parte es los angeles más terrorífica y entretenida del libro y
los angeles que es más esclarecedora con relación al comportamiento de Corky.A pesar de lo
confusa (y por ende aburrida) que puede llegar a ser l. a. primera parte del libro, que solo se
puede disfrutar tras una segunda lectura cuando ya conocemos más de Corky y Fats, creo que
William Goldman tuvo el tacto suficiente en su tercer acto para contar una historia atrapante y
por momentos terrorífica que estudia el deterioro psicológico de su personaje con relación a los
hechos a los que se enfrenta.
