DIABESITY.NEWSTRATEGICTARGETSANDINCRETINS
InthisthirdEdition,theWorkshopisintendedtogetadeeperinsightinthefrontline
researchinthepathophysiologyofdiabesity,withaspecialfocusonthetreatments
with incretins and the new incretin derivates, going beyond their insulinotropic
actionstoincretinpleiotropicactivitiesintissuesandorgans.
The Workshop includes five different sessions related to the following research
areas:
1. Adiposetissuepathophysiology
2. Neuroendocrinology
3. Neuropathology
4. Cardiovascularandinflammation
5. Beyondborders
All sessions consist of 3‐4 lectures of 20‐25 minutes with additional time for
discussion.Basic,translationalandclinicalpresentationsbyselectedinternational
expertsineveryspecificfieldwilltakeplace.
Weseekacomprehensiveandupdatedreviewofwhatitisexpectedtocomeinthe
next years, regarding new pathophysiological insights, developments and
applications of incretins and derivate molecules to obesity and diabetes. In this
exciting event, we look forward to gathering some of the most outstanding
researchersandendocrinologistsfromdifferentEuropeancountries,inafriendly
andstimulatingenvironmentthatencouragesscientificdiscussion.
TheWorkshopisorganizedundertheauspicesoftheEUBIOCAPSproject,andthe
registration will be free for all registered attendants up to the 14th October.
Registration includes documentation of the event, working lunch and coffees and
courtesybag.

The official language for all presentations will be English, and there will be no
