Saint Joseph Parish
Annual Financial Report
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
October 7, 2014
Peace!
Once again I want express my gratitude for the overwhelming show of your generosity to our parish
community. As indicated in our Parish Financial Report, we have a net income of $99,581.00 for the fiscal
year 2013-2014 from a total $1,060,449.00 of total offertory and other income from both St. Joseph Parish and
the Mission Church of St. Vincent de Paul.
This past fiscal year, we continued our efforts in building up our faith formation program and youth ministry
for both the main parish and the mission church. We transitioned into hiring a full time religious sister in
leading our faith formation program. The youth ministry, for both high school and middle school, has been
consistently growing through having a full-time youth minister serving both parish and mission church.
This year, we invested in our facilities by addressing needed maintenance and repairs. At Saint Joseph, we
transferred the location of our office to facilitate a more efficient way to serve our parishioners. We finally
installed a new partition between two of the classrooms. We re-keyed all the doors and locks to enhance
security. At St. Vincent de Paul, we re-striped the parking lot, refurbished the church pews, and furnished our
youth room. We upgraded this year the technological capabilities of both facilities to accommodate the
various developing means by which we teach the faith. There is still a lot to be done. We are now in the
process of repainting, re-carpeting our St. Joseph church building. We are planning a much needed re-striping
of the parking lot. The combined resources has allowed us to respond to some of the pressing needs of our
community.
I am grateful to the sound advice I consistently receive from the Finance Council, Pastoral Council and the
Leadership Team of SVdP. I also want to acknowledge the strong support I receive from my staff. On my
part, I remain steadfast in my goal to be a good steward of the resources of the parish.
Thank you again for your prayers and support to the very life of the parish. Pray with me in asking the Holy
Spirit to guide and inspire us to continually seek to make all things new.
