COMUNICADO 2º-5º/206/2015 - Plan lector y libros de lectura obligatoria 2016

Estimados padres de familia:
En más de una oportunidad hemos conversado respecto de la importancia que tiene promover entre
nuestros alumnos y alumnas el desarrollo de hábitos de lectura frecuente y placentera, tanto en castellano
como en inglés.
Como ustedes saben, nuestro colegio incentiva desde los primeros años la selección personal de lecturas
en biblioteca. Consideramos necesario reforzar esta actitud, presentándoles nuestro Plan lector 2016 (por
favor, considerar el grado del siguiente año) que consiste en leer diez libros al año (6 en castellano y 4
en inglés).
Estos libros podrán encontrarlos en nuestra biblioteca, adquirirlos en la librería de su gusto, o en nuestra
Feria del libro del mes de abril, durante la cual diferentes editoriales los estarán ofreciendo a precios
accesibles. De esta manera cada alumno podrá incrementar su biblioteca personal, lo cual facilitará el
adquirir un vínculo personal con la lectura.
Confiamos en que, gracias al estímulo conjunto de padres y maestros, cada alumno logre culminar con los
libros que conforman el Plan lector anual. Agradecemos por anticipado su colaboración en este esfuerzo por
desarrollar un mayor interés por la lectura entre nuestros alumnos.
Asimismo, los alumnos deben tener para su uso personal los siguientes libros:
Diccionarios y Biblia (Si bien pueden elegir cualquiera de idéntica o mejor calidad, recomendamos elegir los
siguientes para facilitar su uso conjunto en clase.):
 Diccionario castellano-castellano Ed. Vox, de 3º a 6°
 Diccionario inglés -español Ed. Oxford de 3º a 4º.
 Diccionario inglés - inglés Ed. Oxford (Oxford Primary Dictionary, Oxford School Dictionary o
similares) a partir de 5º.
 La Biblia: “Historia de Dios” Ediciones SM, a partir de 4º.
También es necesario el libro de práctica para los exámenes internacionales de inglés:
 Oxford Practice Grammar Book – Basic, a partir de 5º
Si no los tienen aún, se podrán adquirir en Trener 1 los días 25 y 26 de febrero y en la Feria del Libro de
abril. Si lo desean, pueden buscarlos desde ya en librerías especializadas.

Dear Parents,
We have talked many times about the importance of fostering students’ reading skills and reading for
pleasure on a regular basis in English as well as in Spanish.
As you know, Trener encourages students to read books of their choice from the library. We believe it is
important to reinforce this habit by providing them with the 2016 Reading Scheme which consists of reading
10 books (6 in Spanish and 4 in English) throughout the year.
These books can be found in the school library or they may be purchased in any library or during the Book
Fair in April, where different publishing houses will be selling their books at reasonable prices. In this way,
our students will add titles to their personal/private library which will help them to bond with reading.
We are sure that, with our joint effort and encouragement, every student will be able to read the books in the
annual reading scheme. We thank you for your help and interest in fostering our students’ interest in reading
once again.
We would like to remind you that there are other required books that your child must have the following
books:
Dictionary and Bible (Although you may choose similar editions, we recommend these to facilitate our
students to use them in class.)
 Diccionario castellano-castellano, published by Vox. Required in Grade 3-up.
 English-Spanish Dictionary, published by Oxford University Press. Required in Grades 3 to 4.
 English-English Dictionary, published by Oxford University Press (Oxford Primary Dictionary, Oxford
School Dictionary or similar ones) Required in Grade 5 –up.
 La Biblia: “Historia de Dios” Ed. SM. Required in Grade 4 –up.
The Oxford Practice Grammar Book – Basic is also required in Grade 5 –up.
